Welcome to my new tumblr! I decided that I need a place to write about my crocheting yesterday when I got super frustrated with my current project and realized that I needed an outlet. Here is a little history for you. As a kid, my mom taught me to crochet. I learned the basics--chains and single crochets. About six years ago I received a crocheted prayer shawl, and I was inspired to begin making shawls for others. I learned new things--double crochets, and how to read patterns. As i became more comfortable with what I was making, I decided to become more ambitious. I’ve made many things since, as you can see on my Ravelry page. I’m very proud of the things I’ve been able to make, both for myself and for others. It gives me great joy being able to make something and then give it to someone. I’m currently working on my most ambitious project yet--an amigurumi figure as a Christmas gift. Yesterday I realized that I made a huge mistake and lost an hour of work, two safety eyes, and the used yarn. I became so frustrated that I threw the project while swearing like a sailor. I let my feelings subside yesterday and am ready to begin, from scratch, today. Wish me luck!
