I know I don’t post much on here and I’m trying to change thaatt...SSsoooo here’s my final for Advanced Illustrations class with some close up/details shots included. I'll update with the finished/cleaned version after adding the rest of the critiques I was given when I can.

These little suckers are from a dream I had. Dods are what they are named. I'd explain why but the dream was so long. Maybe next time?...I hope you like.

Characteristics: Vicious and stealthy, these quick thinkers are the last thing you’d want to meet in the jungles of their home planet. Most can be found in dark caves near the fresh water rivers of the mountains or hunting in the brush around dusk or nightfall.

Physical Traits: DoDs are quite limber and can twist and curl their bodies to fit almost anything. Though they seem very thin and brittle, they can become rather strong when need be, especially their tails. In addition to being used as a whip, they can use it to hang from or drag large objects. The thumb-like digit on the back of their feet is used for helping them climb and grab objects. The black slits at the top of their heads are for seeing. They use echolocation to do so. Like snakes, they smell by using their forked tongue to collect airborne particles to track their prey. They are, however, very sensitive to stronger more potent odors such as perfumes and other powerful smells. 

Hunting and feeding: DoDs are carnivores and hunt in packs up to 5 to 7 members. While females hunt the most, males can be allowed at times. They make strategic plans before every kill. When bringing home food they give most to the Queen and her young. The rest they regurgitate for their own young.

Language: A mixture of coos and purrs are what they use to hunt and communicate with. When in danger or when trying to scare off an enemy they use loud shrieks and hisses.

Den life: Most of the time males will do all of the care taking around the den while the females provide food and protection. Babies are fed and looked after by the adults and teenagers for a long period after being born. DoDs can have up to at least 3 babies. All DoDs take care of their Queen and her new offspring before tending to their own families.

This here’s a birthday present I did for my brother a little while ago. He’s gotten really into Dr. Who, so he asked that I draw him in different pieces of clothing from all the Doctors he likes the most. Also, he got a “build your own Sonic screwdriver” kit. It comes with a few different screwdrivers from the show that you can take apart and put back together to create different styles…..or something like that. >v>;; Hence the one he’s holding.

He said, if he were to be in the show, that’s what he’d want to look like. xD

Little Red Riding Hood and Big Bad Wolf model sheets for my older class, Character and Object Design. Our teacher gave us a few different versions of the story then told us to make our own interpretation of Lil’ Red and Wolf.

In mine Lil’ Red is a red fox being chased by a hunter who sells animal skins. His nickname being “Wolf”

These are some quick sketches I did for some Little Red Riding Hood model sheets in Character and Object Design. Our teacher gave us a few different versions of Little Red Riding Hood to read over, then we had to interpret the story in our own way. At first I tried changing it up by making Red a boy or some girl who could stand up for herself instead of the cute little thing she’s always made out to be.

I was even tempted to make it a love story between Red an the Wolf. (those designs being the women in the old western dress and the Indian with the paw on his chest. XD;;; )

Instead I went with changing up the species role. Make the human the bad one and the animal the victim.

Another model sheet for my older class, Character and Object Design. Had to design a mascot for the school.

I tried to incorporate every type of media my school teaches. From art and cooking to audio and fashion and everything in-between. I’m thinking I should have giving her a computer or game controller for game design. Sorry game designers. I luh you! ovo;;
