Self-Taught Life Lesson Learned By Moving Away

Moving away came with a lot of excitement - this was the first step to my downfall. I expected too much. My expectations were not all met. And the rest was history.

But as I’m adjusting and picking myself up, I’ve learned the value of time management. I’ve learned that if I want to get something done before a certain time, things like sleep, ‘me time,’ and luxury eating become nonexistent - that’s completely okay. I’ve also learned, sadly, that with or without you the rest of the world is going to go on. Your friends back home, your family - they're all going to continue doing exactly what they have been doing and you just have to accept it.
