She doesn't like playing baseball or softball, but likes watching softball though (how gay lol)
Other than basketball and corn hole(lmao), she claims she has bad aim lol
Ran track in high school.
Favorite moment from espys was meeting ilona
She loves free stuff lmao "I am like the queen of free stuff. if there's 'free' next to it, I want it, even if it's not actually a good gift" she's so funny
Was nervous about her podcast party
By the end of the weekend she had to check 4 bags when flying back lol
Took cute pictures when she threw the national pitch. I guess more pics she's never gonna post lol
Called the Washington monument, Lincoln memorial
She hasn't watched Love Island, only clips the team shared with her lol
She chose the most random people for her celebrity all star team; H.E.R, Ilona Maher, Huda from love island, Adam Sandler, and Kerry Washington/Olivia Pope
Oh and she wore her epsy's dress 'wrong' but looked phenomenal
Who will be the face of the WNBA in five years? caitlin wins, 2nd: angel 2nd, 3rd: paige..if players were allowed more freedom in answers then I think "we haven't drafted them yet" is a possible answer. one delusional person might say HVL
Which city is ideal for expansion? Miami if they asked Sophie, Detroit they asked OGs, Houston/another Southern city
What should be a CBA priority? higher salaries/wages as number 1, close second is percentage share of revenue, a couple of votes for maternity leave and daycare stipends (i bet only older players say maternity leave and daycare)
What's the best-run franchise? Liberty, Lynx and Mercury in that order
What's the worst-run franchise? Sky, Wings, Sun in that order
What's the best rivalry? depends if players take this as teams or individual players. teams: lynx vs. liberty maybe?? fever vs sky. players-wise probably Angel vs. Caitlin but that's so boring to me. real ones should say Caitlin and Jacy lol.
Who's going to win the WNBA championship? most votes for Lynx, second is Liberty, third is Mercury, there are like 5 votes for fever, and maybe 3 for Dream

new to basketball so maybe im wrong but my issue with the Aziaha no-jump ball last night was not the lack of jumping but the way she seems to walk into Bec Allen? didn't watch live but I assume that was a foul no?
i feel like fine dont jump but go on defense immediately then. but maybe im reading that all wrong?
From what I seen, you can either not jump or you can like step into their jumping area and it’s just like a violation
Bernice King, MLK's daughter, literally having to get on twitter and tell RGIII to knock it off and leave Angel alone. esp when most of her tweets are about her work with the King Center.
just speaks to how ridiculous and evil he is and how he just won't stop. 24/7 c00nery with this man.
but really glad that angel has outspoken, thoughtful, and well-respected people rooting for her
not falling for the jj quinerly propaganda..she's fast so i like her on fast break when we get an defensive rebound..but other than that i don't love how she handles the ball. too many turnovers and just generally a little hectic.
think it makes sense to have paige be on ball when it's time to inbound and only give to jj when Luisa or Li get a defensive rebound
Critique of Christine Brennan's recent CNN article
Read the excerpt from Brennan's book on CNN and wanted to read some thought-out critique of her writing but couldnt find much so writing it myself..
Here's a link to the article for those interested: https://www.cnn.com/2025/07/06/sport/caitlin-clark-wnba-book-excerpt-spt
My first issue is with the situations outlined in the article:
The first question Brennan asks DiJonai seems mostly fair. It's a little weird to ask if someone intended to hit someone else but whatever. but the second question is deliberately inflammatory: by asking did you and marina kinda laugh about it afterwards, Dijonai's answer no longer matters--Brennan has linked the two moments. now i didnt watch this game (newer fan of wnba here), but did some research and the caitlin-dijonai thing happens during the first quarter. the marina-dijonai celebration happens during the fourth. So Brennan links the two events in her question as if they happened one after the other when in reality one happened about an hour after. It's an especially weird question considering dijonai's previous answer..if Brennan had asked the question as a follow-up to the first question then it doesn't make sense i.e. the second question linking the two events was gonna be asked no matter what dijonai says to the first q.
Brennan then says essentially "i was just asking questions, that's what journalists do!" and "this is what it means to be fair! to cover the league just like any other sport!" But im not sure asking a question where the answer does not matter is good reporting. and i don't think engaging in petty meta-narratives that pain Black athletes as combative and cruel is a show of respect.
brennan juxtaposes her questioning with Byrne asking Caitlin about the hit to suggest that everyone is asking valid questions! Caitlin had a good, non-combative answer why didn't Dijonai. But Byrne's question doesn't presuppose any fault on Dijonai's part. the question is not was that intentional but what do you say to people who think it was intentional. it's a small difference but it allows Byrne to bring in social media directly whereas brennan only does so in hindsight--saying her intention w question asking was to address social media.
then dewanna bonner comes over and says you disrespected my teammate. brennan includes that she tried to introduce herself to suggest that bonner is rude and overly aggressive. but like--if i came at someone who upset my teammate and they responded with hello my name is..i'd be annoyed too. address what i said!! i know who you are, now address what i said.
then we have a league official saying dijonai should not have essentially sicced dewanna on brennan. but there's no proof that's what dijonai did. i find it just as likely that dijonai went to dewanna upset at the interaction w brennan and her line of questioning and dewanna took it upon herself to say something to brennan. brennan have no way of knowing how it happened so repeat that from a league official uncriticially is not great. also very annoyed with that official for their comments..it's unprofessional and demeaning. i would say that in terms of exposure wnba athletes are more exposed than most. yes they are under-covered but when they do receive coverage, especially in a post-caitlin league, their every gesture is dissected as a sign of some great Black hatred and jealousy for the league's white savior.
why/how would a fever official know what voicemail dijonai left for nalyssa? are we just sharing voicenotes with colleagues now? is that a condition of employment?
then brennan ends with equating her biased, hurl little question grenades and hide behind her hands coverage with giving the league the respect it's due. there's this idea that the wnba should be covered the same way as all other sports leagues and that that's a sign of respect. but this league is different from all others, it is majority Black and (seemingly) majority queer..why can't we practice a different kind of story-telling and a different approach to media in light of these facts.
