Immigrant following his heart to the US
Last week I went to the local mail & auction store to get my LiveScan done and met the owner who was a very nice gentleman from India. While he was taking my finger prints he began telling me about why he came to this country.
Over 25 years ago he began is career in India as a realtor. From what he said, he made a very good living selling homes and didn't have to work for much of the year. He lived a cush and happy life. It wasn't until his only daughter came to America when he decided to move here to be closer with her. When he moved to America he purchased the Mail & Auction store since he did not want to work for anyone but himself. Since moving here he has been unhappy but can't live without being close to his daughter. In a way he had wished that he listened to his head and not his heart.

According to an MSNBC article posted on 11/28/2011, big retailers including Macy's, Wal-Mart and Best Buy publicized their Black Friday deals early to their Facebook fans. Target, Amazon and Toys R Us ran contests, giveaways or flash sales to coax consumers into "liking" their brands. Hardware chain Lowe's ran an "American Idol"-style promotion in which fans voted on items to be discounted. Best Buy created an event page for Black Friday and got nearly 28,000 people to RSVP as "attending."
