Stop dedicating your time to negativity. Stop choosing to consume negative information online. Stop bonding over primarily negative things with friends. Stop looking for the bad in yourself and others. Focus your attention on the good and watch how your life changes.
I cannot tell you how unhealthy this is.Â
This was posted on my facebook feed with the caption â When Youâre Falling Apart & EveryBody Walks Away Your Child Will Always Be There âïžđ€đ©âđ§âđŠ â
What a burden to place on your child. To see them as your fix, your therapy, the thing that puts you together. There is a difference between loving the love that your child gives you, and expecting them to put you back together after heart ache and disappointment. itâs so so unhealthy.Â
Being inspired by your child to do the work necessary to put yourself back together, through healing, through therapy, through setting boundaries, through reassessing standards and goals, yes, amazing, great. Envisioning your child as always being there to put you back together often means unfair burdens, lack of boundaries, lack of letting a kid be a kid, suffocating a child when they show independence. not ok.
