what if billy was a manifestation of steves desires to be wanted and adored like
hes clinging to this relationship with nancy because hes in love and he wants to be in a relationship so bad he just cant recognize she's been pulling away from him and has fallen out of love. and billy happens to show up right as their relationship finally implodes. its just that... well some wires got crossed and magic is tricky and billys obsession with steve is less romantic and more dickish. but no less horny.
the universe is like "well you wanted someone to be totally into you and clingy and never leave you alone" and steves like "this is not what i meant!!"
but it ends up working out anyway. billy never becomes any less annoying but steve eventually finds out he becomes less hostile when he's given lots of kisses so. feels like a fair trade
We need a full length Billy Hargrove edit to prolly by McCafferty

*shoves suitcase in the camaro's trunk and drives off to the sunny beaches of California
I’m kinda glad the Duffers killed Billy in season 3 because I would’ve hated to see them lobotomize him like they did to Robin in season 5
this is basically canon
Writing a fic, I’m killing off Ted Wheeler. For funsies. Honestly even I don’t know the origin of the ire I have for Ted, I just fucking hate him.
Anyway, in killing him off do I:
Give Ted a heroes death. Let him have a moment.
No heroes death. Ted stays useless, but we write all sad about it.
Ted gets tossed by a demo and the plot simply moves on bc who cares its just Ted
Honestly I like the idea of the plot just kinda moving forward and think if I do it properly, it could work both for laughs and as a commentary on Ted’s apparent absence in his kids life.
Like my vision is that a lot of the grief for Mike and Nancy actually comes from the fact that they don’t really feel they’re grieving that much. And that’s naturally a source of guilt for them.
Then post-mortem resentment but also like… not even that much of that??? Ted showed up to the elementary soccer games, the parent teacher conferences, the awards nights. He was there, he just wasn’t *there* yanno?
So yeah.
If I wrote all sad about it, I’d still hit the same emotional points as if we moved on more quickly, just go more in depth and have Mike and Nancy more obviously affected by it. Also I’d just cut the “oh yeah Ted died? oh well” jokes. Maybe keep like one.
Part of me is soooo tempted towards the hero moment death. But I’m also just not sure how I’d write it. Ted Wheeler having a strong reaction to something? Not likely. I do also think it’d be kind of funny if I played it right.
hate going on pinterest and seeing beautiful joyren art/edit and people in the comment are like "oh!.. that's not-" or saying jopper is better.
like baby... that ain't even the point
haha you're so sexy please don't watch tales of shit from a butt
What if billy wasn’t a heavy drinker til he got to Hawkins?
We know he’s quick to adapt to whatever environments he’s in, so what if he got to Indiana took one look around and was assessing the ways he could best fit in
And I’m thinking about that line in heathers about how if guys weren’t drinking brewskis then they were assumed gay lmao and I’m watching this docuseries where a gay football player was talking about how he started drinking beer a lot because people assume gay guys are drinking martinis and whatever and if he just drank beer people wouldn’t be suspicious.
So like what if billy adopted that attitude in Hawkins. Make a spectacle at your first party about how good you are at kegs, drink beer while you’re working out, keep beer cans littered around your room so your father doesn’t get suspicious
And billys already got an addictive personality (maybe inherited from his mother) so it’s not long before the beer and alcohol just genuinely becomes part of his daily routine. He’s self medicating he’s trying to keep his cover he’s trying to do everything he can to make sure no one catches on to his little secret which just stresses him out more, which makes him drink more, rinse and repeat
The whole move to Hawkins in general was a stressor it really was just the perfect storm to create a problem
I miss the good old times when we used to come up with new theories of what heart to heart they'd be having here
Phew, so long
"I asked chat GPT" well i asked Maya Hawke and she said she'd even kiss Nat

❀ she has bought so many of will’s artworks that her home is genuinely just a museum
❀ she studied english with a minor in art history, then went to teachers college
❀ phoebe buffay is her style inspiration
❀ she loves watercolor painting and uses a lot of pinks and reds in all of her pieces
❀ she dated a mcbling girl for a few years and bedazzled all of her headbands and phones, made her a bunch of chunky bracelets, and painted her nails so often that she became really good at nail designs
❀ she considered fashion school, but figured no one would take her seriously because she didn’t agree with diet culture
❀ she moved back to hawkins after school and taught elementary school english and art
❀ though she considered having children, she didn’t think it was ever going to happen for her. then one of her students had a situation at home, and she pulled a miss honey and adopted them
❀ she has an overwhelming amount of cardigans in every shade of the rainbow
❀ she rides a bike everywhere and only drives when she’s going to lunch with karen or visiting friends out of town
❀ this girl is big on diys and builds all of her own furniture, like a massive bookshelf designed for her equally massive collection of vintage toys, books, and jewellery. she loves painting her walls yearly and has a craft room filled with unfinished projects
❀ she leads a lot of school clubs once she becomes a teacher, and keeps her room open for anyone who wants to make bracelets, grab snacks, or have a private chat
❀ says “back in my day” when she talks about her childhood and gets genuinely emotional when younger people don’t know what rainbow brite is
❀ she has many, many girls’ days with karen and nancy, where she shows them all the best thrift spots and they get ice cream afterward
❀ frutiger aero was her favourite aesthetic, and she was completely on board with it. she deeply mourned when the future turned out lifeless
❀ she had the biggest crush on santana lopez and made mike and will sit through every season of glee
❀ a bath & body works sale hates to see her coming. she loves milk bar birthday cake and strawberry pound cake
