My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined
Friendly reminder that you don't have to love or even like doing an activity in order to be good at it.
My family is always like: "Why do you hate driving? You're a good driver!" like, yeah. That may be true, I could be the best driver on the road but it wouldn't change the fact that I dread every second on that driver's seat, that I actively plan my days to not include driving anywhere myself, because I just hate doing it.
You don't have to try convincing yourself that you like math just because you get an A on every test.
You don't have to try convincing yourself that you love to clean up your room because it always looks spotless.
You can hate the things you're good at.
Nobody should judge your feelings on something based on your performance, and nobody should put pressure on you because of it.
Spite is just as good a motivator as love. Use it, even if other's tell you you shouldn't. You don't have to let your performance at something change your feelings about doing it.
