Already, he tries not to jump. Venti knows that it isn't due to any distrust- he harbours no doubts that Xiao will be careful. Still, it's an instinctual thing. He curls his hands to dig his nails into his palms, really hoping he can avoid jerking them.

"Ah, if you don't mind. I know those can be messy." The keratin sheaths are always so crumbly, on top of the powder down that tends to accumulate. Venti strains his neck to try to look behind him to see if any others are growing, but it's no use.

"It's alright if you grow tired of it, just let me know."

"Amaretto! I picked it up on my recent travels- it's a drink made with bitter almonds or apricot kernels. I remembered you like that one dish with apricot kernels, so I thought you'd might like to try it with me?"

Honestly, I think it's lame if I only give characters wings from their back, so Diluc gets fire wings from his wrists/claymore. And yeah I will spread the biblically accurate Venti propaganda, what do you mean the god of wind only has one pair of wings-

God I've missed Mondstadt so much. Also funny story, I once got Diluc when pulling on Venti's banner all the way back in 1.4, on APRIL FOOLS DAY. Yeah. Fun times.
