I know the unicursal (i.e., non-branching) labyrinth is a visual art thing and doesn't at all match the description of the mythological Labyrinth, but sometimes I picture some sort of ancient Greek SCP thing with very speedy stonemasons constantly lengthening the path in order to contain a very, very slow Minotaur.
(There's no point branching the path because the Minotaur unerringly knows the shortest way to the exit, and they can't just loop it back in on itself because if there is no exit, the pressure starts building.)
I think we should put the very slow Minotaur, the bloodless chimp, and the monster that runs around the lake four times faster than you can row in a room together.
