“That’s true. But you and I both know that’s not the type of distraction I had in mind.” Andrea noted, though a smile peeked through. “Then why don’t we go grocery shopping together? You can go around and get whatever you need while I entertain Stace. Then we can have chicken fingers with something green and leafy on the side. A perfectly balanced meal.”
“I know. And I feel like maybe you wanted something more along the lines of alcohol and a hot body to rest again but the closest thing to that I can offer you is juice in a sippy cup and an episode of Coco Melon.” Melody furthered teased, her shoulders slumping a little at the suggestion. “Really? I mean, that sounds great to me but are you really sure you want to spend your time bonding with me over a trolley full of groceries and leafy greens? Because even in my deprived state of mind, that whole idea doesn’t sound like the world’s most fun outing ever.”
