Happy weekend everyone! This week was a lot of work and now I am returning to blogging after a long hiatus! Anyway, here are the photos taken when Dash and I met for a shoot somewhere in our place. We've decided to settle in the streets for the location but we end up shooting at the town church and bell tower. I can tell that the place is amazing and it surely is picture-perfect for our OOTDs. I didn't know it has the aesthetics until we try it and voila, as Dash would say, it feels like we’re in Santorini, Greece and I've considered it’s true. Well, there are certain parts in the location where it really feels like we're beside the blue crystal clear ocean water.

Lately I’ve been sporting this street casual type of person from that laidback-preppy person I am and it feels good to have few adaptations. Change is good right? But I will be this laid-back preppy that I am and I can still incorporate street style in it. What do you think? Nevertheless, I don’t always stick to whatever fashion is trending nowadays, comfort is still the key when it comes to clothing and it always will be.

It’s good to be reunited with this girl again and I can tell that I can be more productive when she’s here with me but she has to finish her school responsibilities in Manila (oh clingy me). Well, that’s just because she can take my photos and she does it well. LOLJK.

I just wanna tell you how awesome my summer is (as seen in my previous post,http://melojjtestado.tumblr.com/post/51048451984/indian-summer-2013) and while everyone’s preparing for dog days and June as back- to-school month, I still have this unusual hangover and dreams of drowning myself in the ocean with my super retentive sunglasses (as my beach buddy, Kate, calls it). I will definitely miss the hot days.

Sand in hair, sand in ears, burn lines (tan lines) and all those hashtags that appeared on twitter and instagram during March-May were really a hype. Lol! So this post apparently looks I am relishing the last days of summer by making most of the sunny weather! Well, I don’t really layer when the sun’s up and melting my spf’ide lotion (this is too much “balidoso”) but I love channeling Mr. Gatsby of The Great Gatsby from the moment I watched the movie so I figured out that the outfit won’t work without a blazer or coat which I did see at the movie frequently and his perfectly bronzed skin which I don’t really have (haha) and perfectly coiffed hair. The movie is full of fashion which I love, lavish parties, colors, glitters, and most definitely the music that they brought the killer soundtracks and modernizing the 1920s with the richness of 21st century hip-hop, along with some alternative pieces is something I would download on itunes and play all over the house which I already have. Kudos to the movie director for his music choices which are perfectly fit for the movie!

Outside it’s getting gloomier and wetter by the day but that doesn’t stop me from posting photos during the first hot days of May. Last two weeks, we went a little dippin at the beach and had ourselves a little browning of skin. There is not a single cloud in the sky. There is no cool breeze and no dew on the grass. People mostly shut themselves indoor. Very few people go out. The streets look deserted but being the wanderlust kid that I am, that won’t stop me from basking in the afternoon sun. I must say I ain’t beach ready coz I ain’t that fit yet and I cannot handle exercise on hot days (lol, just a random thing that keeps on running through my head while I’m making this post).

We're halfway through summer, are we having fun yet?

It is true that we won't, can't, don't have spring season in our country but that doesn't stop us from feeling the floral vibe through your top to bottom outfit beating the scorching heat of summer and apparently, that’s what I did during the May Day.

It is truly heartbreaking that we're really halfway through summer but hey, don't stop from searching the best beaches in town! Keep on putting check marks in your summer bucketlist!

One great thing about Ilocos Norte is the very popular and most heard tourist attraction of the country which is the sand dunes. You don’t have to book a flight going to Dubai to have a surreal experience of 4x4 ride, sandboarding, and photo ops because we have it in the midst of the country, Ilocos. The thrill it gives you whenever you ride the board and the moment you slide down is such a heart-pumping experience and you should never miss the fun it gives! Thumbs up Lead Movement for giving birth to sandboarding in Ilocos! My experience with sand dunes this summer is beyond perfect because of the weather, 4x4 ride, sanboarding, and the people I've spent this adventure with, Jaz & Shie.
