I’m writing this as currently, I wanna keep this main updated but I’m currently working on ayato x fem reader scenario on my other acc @underthewinemoon. Not posted yet.
And I apologise if these are wrong. I’m not a super into Greek mythology fan myself, the only ones I know are Ares, Aphrodite, Athena, Zeus and Medusa. But I have a friend that is and I kid you not, she sent me these at 4am and told me to use them for an au. So here we are. And if she’s wrong, I apologise on her behalf .
PART I - THE SAKAMAKI GODS
⌗ ：God of Sleep, Stillness, Quiet Escape
⌗ Shu is Hypnos not because he is lazy, but because sleep is his refusal. In a pantheon ruled by violence, ambition, and endless bloodshed, Hypnos chooses unconsciousness as defiance. Shu’s divinity lies in withdrawal. He knows too much, feels too deeply, and is too exhausted by immortality to participate in the endless cruelty of the gods. Sleep becomes both sanctuary and shield, a way to survive a world he no longer believes in. Like Hypnos, Shu exists on the edge of divine affairs, powerful enough to end wars by closing eyes, yet too tired to care who wins them.
⌗ ：Goddess of wisdom, warfare, law
⌗ Reiji embodies Athena’s strategic mind stripped of mercy. He believes intellect is the highest form of power and that chaos must be crushed beneath structure and discipline. Reiji’s divinity manifests through rules, systems, and control. He does not rule with brute force, but with precision, expectation, and punishment. Like Athena, he sees emotion as weakness and sentiment as a liability. Reiji does not seek affection from mortals or gods alike; he seeks compliance. To him, wisdom is not kindness. It is efficiency.
⌗ ：God of War, Conflict, and Bloodlust
⌗ Ayato is Ares in his rawest form, war without restraint or strategy. He thrives in conflict, feeds on rivalry, and measures his worth through conquest. Violence is not a tool for Ayato, it is a language. He is loud, impulsive, and driven by instinct rather than foresight. Like Ares, he is both feared and scorned by the other gods, seen as dangerous yet necessary. Ayato does not fight for ideology or justice. He fights because battle is the only place where his divinity feels real.
⌗ ：God of Fear, Panic, and dread
⌗ Kanato is Phobos incarnate, fear born not from dominance but from abandonment. His divinity manifests in unpredictability, obsession, and emotional volatility. He does not simply scare others; he unsettles them, crawls beneath their skin, and lingers. Like Phobos, Kanato feeds on chaos created by war and conflict, trailing behind stronger gods and amplifying their destruction. His cruelty is childlike, born from unmet needs and fractured love. Fear, to Kanato, is both weapon and comfort.
⌗ ：God of ecstasy, Madness, and wine-making
⌗ Laito mirrors Dionysus as temptation made divine. He blurs the line between joy and suffering, indulgence and violation. Pleasure is his domain, but it is never pure. Like Dionysus, Laito’s presence erodes restraint and invites collapse. He offers freedom, intimacy, and ecstasy, but always at a cost. His divinity lies in seduction and emotional manipulation, drawing mortals and gods alike into excess until they unravel. Laito does not destroy openly. He lets others destroy themselves.
⌗ ：God of Fire, Forging, and Pain-Born Creation
⌗ Subaru is Hephaestus shaped by rage and neglect. Cast aside, abused, and ridiculed, his divinity is forged through suffering rather than privilege. Fire is not just his element, but his emotional state: volatile, destructive, yet capable of creation. Like Hephaestus, Subaru builds rather than rules, protects rather than dominates. His strength is quiet but devastating when unleashed. Subaru’s godhood is rooted in endurance, the ability to survive cruelty and still create something meaningful from the ashes.
