Hello everyone it’s been a while!! How is everyone doing? 🤍 Just wanted to come on here and share that I was able to see Melanie in Atlanta on July 28!! Her new album Hades speaks well on the reality that we unfortunately live in. I couldn’t help but cry throughout the show. That being said, I’m looking forward to more of her works and visuals in the future! (The Vatican was my favorite part ✨)

A lot of people don’t realize how the music industry works. When a label funds something (like a music video), that money isn’t “free” the artist has to pay it back through their earnings. So if Melanie puts out a huge high-quality video or film, she’s not getting rich from it she’s taking a financial risk to bring her vision to life. She also doesn’t take brand deals, which most celebrities use to make quick money. Why? Because it would compromise her artistic integrity and she clearly cares deeply about giving fans real, meaningful work. As for merch: yes, some say it’s expensive. But merch isn’t 100% profit. There are production costs, shipping, staff, design, eco-friendly materials, and often the artist only gets a small cut after all that. High-quality, ethical merch costs more to make. And no it doesn’t mean she’s lying about her struggles. Melanie risks a lot to create immersive, thoughtful art that stays true to her vision. If anything, she’s doing more than most artists do without selling out. Instead of tearing down artists let’s support them.

I’ve seen some people online misunderstand Melanie’s Cry Baby album, saying it “sexualizes children” but that’s not what it’s about at all. The album uses childlike themes and aesthetics as a contrast to explore serious, emotional, and often painful topics like trauma, identity, relationships, and societal expectations. The “playful” visuals aren’t meant to be taken at surface level they’re symbolic. Melanie uses them to express how childhood experiences can shape us, and how innocence can still exist even within darkness. Her art is like layers and isn’t meant to take literal. That’s the part of what makes Cry Baby so powerful.

This is officialy the last show of "The Trilogy Tour" but Melanie will be back on stage on November 16th with the Corona Capital Festival.
