The recent episode of Go for it Nakamura, is why I will never bad mouth filler!!

I'm really so happy about the new additions and updates being made to Go For It, Nakamura-kun. I always thought Vol 2 was sort of weak and that it felt more like a random chapter that could've taken place during Vol 1, than an actual progression of the story.

Vol 2 sort of dragged for me and felt a bit stagnant, and then it sort of ends anticlimactically. So the creators of the series really did some cool things, moving things around for a better flow, and this anime-original episode really pushed things over the top.

I really do love all the additions the anime is making in this adaptation. It makes it so much more worthwhile for people who read the manga. Every week I'm just waiting to see what else has been added.

I don't get why people see the ending of Go For it Nakamura-Kun as sad or other people not even wanting to read it because he doesn't "end up" with Hirose. It doesn't make the story or Journey any less worth it.

Nakamura's main goal was always to become friends with Hirose. Like haven't you ever been in a situation where you were younger and literally just wanted your crush to NOTICE you or be friends with you? Like your brain couldn't even imagine anything further than that, anything more than that was insane to you. Nakamura's main goal was to be friends, romance is like an amazing cherry on top. But he achieved his main goal. Even better, at the end of the first volume he was worried that he hadn't made any progress with Hirose and Hirose was like "Lol I thought we were already friends?" And Nakamura's face in that moment was just a look of relief and joy. It was so sweet.

I get that people are tired of so many stories of unrequited queer love stories and other stuff in that realm. But I think a story about a lonely gay boy, who knows he's gay, and is seeking friendship with his crush and ends up getting that friendship is just as great, sweet and worthwhile.
