York One Piece Deserved Better.

It's kinda fucked up how all the other Vegapunk personalities got to do their science and inventing shit and York was saddled with eating, drinking, and all the physical upkeep beyond exercise for 5 satellites and probably Stella too. Her only job and duty is shown to be eating and sleeping and shitting and noboby else can do their job unless she's doing it 24/7, and despite being a part of Vegapunk's mind she can't participate in the science side of things.

Atlas is the closest in that she performs the physical activity for everybody else, but Atlas is allowed to invent too. Every single other Vegapunk got to do what she couldn't, their purpose in life and existence, and she was relegated to keeping the energy flowing, like a human battery. She's shown to enjoy her food and naps and whatnot, and it's mostly treated as a gag, but I can't imagine she was seriously happy. Would Atlas have been satisfied doing nothing but running laps around egghead 24/7 for her entire lifespan? Shaka was the 'Good' and Lilith was the 'Evil' but both of them were allowed to tinker and invent as a Vegapunk Satellite undoubtedly saw as their calling in life, their dream - and dreams are everything in One Piece

Yeah, she's a greedy bastard who turned to the Celestial Dragons and World Government, but in the end, her life before that was a kind of slavery of its own.

It's been five years since Rentarou's destiny was read, and by now the words are so faded he barely remembers them. A Quirkless Boy in Deika

In a snap judgement, Midoriya Inko uses her quirk to save a life during surgery. She's promptly fired. The reason? Unlicensed, illegal quirk usage, cause enough to revoke her medical license and with it, her salary. At the age of ten, her son Izuku's life is flipped on its head. They move to cheap apartment in a more run-down area, sell their things, and work long hours to make ends meet.

The world is rotten, and he begins to see the cracks. Unfair rules, chains written in ink that shackle everyone unfairly. Villains running rampant, unabated by corrupt heroes. His heroic dreams hold firm - he and his mom both promised they would always do the right thing.

When Izuku is fifteen, he leaves work one night to see a woman being suffocated by a villain made of sludge, surrounded by explosions. Heroes watch uselessly and the crowd stands by, so he rushes in to save her. This woman, Curious, turns out to be a head lieutenant of the Meta Liberation Army, and in Izuku's heart she sees a roaring flame.

What follows is a chain of events in which Izuku finds a new purpose beyond being a hero... Liberation.
