hiiii thank you for doing flowery requests... could i ask for flowery hc and/or scenario with reader who sometimes wakes up in something similar to a panic attack? it isn't triggered by a dream or anything, but sometimes they'd wake up with intense heart palpitations, tremors, and nausea. there isn't anything they can do besides ride it out usually. though i think he'd be a soothing presence with how grounded he is.

Flowery x Reader - Nocturnal Panic Attack (Scenario/Mini Fic)
Your heart feels like it's going to beat its way out of your chest as you make efforts not to wake up your partner, who's still sleeping soundly next to you.
You've gone through this a million times before anyway, it's fine - you just need to breathe, breathe…it's only temporary…however, trying to speed up the recovery process doesn't seem to be working all that well; in fact it only makes your heart beat faster, and you feel your hands start to tremble as you hold them so very close to your chest.
Suddenly, you feel…a lot of things in the span of one second: you flush, then chill, you feel dizzy, like something is deeply wrong. Then, nausea.
You need to hoist yourself up.
You kick off your blankets, which were only covering your feet anyways, but even that feels like too much. Then you try to use all your strenght to get into a sitting position, but struggle doing so due to how much you're panicking - you feel bad, so bad that when you finally manage to get into a sitting position you're not even caring not to make noise anymore, you instead just focus on breathing as deeply as you can and hope at least the nausea washes away.
At some point there's a shift in your bed, you can feel it - it makes you suddenly remember that it's a shared bed after all. A million thoughts invade your brain then, but first and foremost you worry that this is just going to bother him. You've made too much noise. He's going to touch you in hopes to comfort you maybe - you really hope he doesn't touch you, you can't deal with anything right now; your eyes well up with tears.
"Hey…" Flowery's voice sounds distant, even as you can feel him shifting closer to you, on the edge of the bed, "Hey, slower, breathe slower, okay darling?"
You can barely make out what he's saying, too focused on many things, such as not crying, not vomiting and getting your heartbeat to stop racing. He repeats seemingly the same thing one more time, 'slower' is what you understand now and - right, right, you need to breathe slowly. You try to do that, hands still shaking. Flowery looks at them.
"Good, just like that. I'm here, okay? I just need you to breathe…"
You find yourself not bothered by his presence next to you; you feel him move around a bit from time to time as you steady your breathing slowly; he gives gentle reassurance as the initial panic abandons your body, unrushed, and when you're finally able to hear his steady words properly, he asks you to answer to his yes or no questions with either a nod or a shake of your head.
"Can I touch you at all, love? Your hands?" he gestures to your still shaky hands, which you're now nervously fidgeting with. You give him the permission to do so, and he gently holds them in his own stable ones.
Finding his touch rather comforting now that your fear has mostly left, you lean against him, which prompts him to slightly tilt his head so it's resting against yours. With you two being so close now, you can clearly feel his breathing patterns, which you decide to mimic. He seems to notice, and shifts so it's easier for you to feel the rise and fall of his chest.
It's not very clear how much time passes, but at some point you're calm enough to speak again;
"I'm…ugh," you groan, and he frets to check if you're feeling bad again, but you reassure him, "Sorry, I just…hope I didn't bother you. I'm sorry."
Flowery doesn't respond immediately; instead, he brings your clasped hands to his lips, and places a gentle kiss right at the top. You watch curiously in the early morning light as a little flower blossoms right from the spot he's just kissed.
Your hands suddenly feel steadier.
"Mh…I think these things are quite normal at this point in our relationship, no? It's natural to care for each other this way,"
"…Yes but- it's so early, and I should've told you this happens sometimes…? You weren't even supposed to hear, but still, it's…" You trail off, frowning. Your boyfriend lets go of your hands and picks the flower, carefully placing it in your hair instead. Your gaze follows his actions mournfully, yet curiously.
"What's good about thinking of it like that? You didn't hurt or bother me, I'm fine, my dear. Do you need anything, now?"
You decide you're too tired to argue with your boyfriend over this of all things, and as long as he says it's okay…you decide to trust him. A glass of water and a trip to the bathroom to freshen up your face later, you're back in bed, this time with the gentle light of sunrise slightly illuminating the room.
You're not quite sure you want to try sleeping more or at all, which he seems to be fine with - he insists he'll just go to bed earlier tonight if anything. The worrying thought that you might not deserve him tries to push its way into your mind, manifesting in the form of unshed tears.
"Hey there," he scoots closer to you, and his expression looks a little silly when he's worried, which gets a wet giggle out of you despite everything, "…What's funny now? Me?"
He pouts harder, then places a kiss on your forehead when you giggle more and attempt to dry your tears with your hand. He wipes them away with his thumb instead, and this time, when your heart skips a beat at his gestures, it's just fondness that you feel.
