Things I have learned since living in Italy and living with Northern Italians-Part I
1. The pedestrian comes second. Except in Southern Italy, the pedestrian isn’t considered at all
2. The ice cream/gelato is so much better than American ice cream. Is it the cheap 1 euro scoop (in my town)? Is it its incredible creaminess? Its simple, non-dramatic, yet satisfying flavors?
3. Coffee should have a rich flavor. I never drank coffee before, but now I love to have a macchiato especially out of the house.
4. You can basically park anywhere you want
5. North and South are VERY different
7. The blinds should be closed AT ALL TIMES or all the spies out to get you will find you and kill you
8. Having people in line behind you basically breathing down your neck is a normal way to get in line
9. “Americanata” is a word used (in this household) to describe things that are exaggerated, gigantic, or over dramatic.
10. Excellent and kind customer service is not an essential

Storm Flag Raised At Fort Sumter
The Fort Sumter Flag is a historic United States flag with a distinctive, diamond shaped-shaped pattern of 33 stars. The flag was lowered by Major Robert Anderson on April 14, 1861 when he surrendered Fort Sumter, in the harbor of Charleston, South Carolina, at the outset of the American Civil War.
