Just a heads up that Japan killed shipping to the EU over the new 3€ customs for parcels valued under 150€ since it needs to be prepaid via IOSS (for which the seller needs an accountant in the EU) or otherwise the parcels get returned - paying customs on delivery isn't a thing anymore with the new customs regulation - and Japan doesn't want to bother with constantly returned parcels.

Deal reached on Union Customs Code reform | News | European Parliament

On Thursday, Parliament and Council reached an agreement on a major reform of the EU Customs Code to address problems relating to e-commerce

It was widely known that the illustrator Ezaki Bisuko copyright claimed various contents containing the term "Yamikawaii" (genre name). Although it seems easy to understand, a summary of the situation.

In the past few years, there has been an issue that products spotting the term “Yamikawaii” were copyright claimed by an unknown party (most prominent example was the change of ZenKimi’s merch slogan “Yamikawaii Army Trash Accomplice”) and there was speculation that Ezaki Bisuko trademarked the term which now was confirmed as part of a different dispute, thus the various artists distance themself from that label in order to avoid further takedowns and lawsuits, including various brands. This raises concerns over the possibility of other style genres, like lolita or decora, being potential subject to a copyright claim.

Is Overlap Possible Between Menhera and Jirai?

Jirai and mental health is a topic I feel is worth addressing, as I’ve noticed a specific trend both in my inbox and in general replies on this subject. I often see the sentiment that pushing against the term Jirai is hurting those with mental illness more than helping, as there are some people with mental illness who find solace in the term and wish to reclaim it.

Regarding that, people can look at the facts of what Jirai is and make their own decisions. I am just here to provide a bit more clarity on what it is so newcomers can enjoy the actual fashion that got overshadowed by the harmful meme blowing up.

But this raises a point that’s worth examining, since some people feel so strongly about it. Is Jirai, which is heavily tied to the Japanese anti-recovery community, something that can ever be considered comparable to Menhera, which is about mental health awareness?

It’s been a while since we wrote some short article about some new trend as there wasn’t anything new or exciting.

Maikore is a japanese slang term derived from the english “My Collection” and refers to the worn display of a merch collection. Within the past year, multiple brands started to release tops with a big clear pocket on the center as part of the ever evolving itabag craze - the probably most well known kind of Maikore.

The pockets come in many shapes and the clear PVC is attached with a zipper to the top. If you don’t want to spend some big buck on brand goods, you might as well make it yourself.
