kitasunegawa:
“Oh, Morgana.”
The teen goes from a steady motion to a slow stop, head turning to allow a better view of his newly acquired feline companion. Eyes dart quickly to the paws against his coat, taking notice of the cold, wet prints placed against the fabric before reverting his attention.
“Rest assured you are far from alone here. Fortune would have it, this city – or world, rather – is full of familiar faces.” There’s a quiet hum, taking notice of Morgana insisting he gain a comfortable perch atop him. With a silent stare a hand rises, offering the cat a gentle stroke over his fur before descending to his side.
“Where they are currently I’m unsure, but I’m certain our paths will cross soon enough. Or a simple text could suffice.”
The rush of relief at a familiar face was almost enough to calm the feline’s nerves, but not quite. There was still the nagging feeling of wondering why he’d been brought here- And the others seemed to be here as well. Had they been targeted? And if so, by who?
“That’s a relief.” He’s purring quietly, content with his positioning on Yusuke’s shoulder.
“You don’t seem like you just arrived here, Yusuke. How long have you been here?” His expression changes, resulting in a pondered look. “I wonder why we’re here in the first place.”
Though it was more of speaking his thoughts aloud, Morgana found no issue in expressing these thoughts with Yusuke. He had to have been here at least a little longer than Morgana himself, so perhaps he had some sort of idea as to how they ended up here.
