UPDATED: Colfer’s manager tells THR that the star’s verified Twitter account has been hacked and that the actor will indeed be back for the final season of the Fox musical. Fox’s Glee will not be without one of its original stars when it returns for its sixth and final season. Star Chris Colfer, who has been a regular since the series, announced Thursday that he will not be coming back to the musical dramedy where he has played fan favorite Kurt Hummel for the past five seasons.

Wtf. Well I may be done w this show.

Can we please make it fun? Let’s make tons of cool art and write lots of cool words and do loads of awesome creative collaborations. Let’s come up with some brand-new cracky & delicious tropes and run with them until they’re out of control. Let’s get some epic WIPs going so we can all get obsessed together and wait for updates the way we wait for Glee. This is our last hiatus together, and it’s the longest one in the history of the fucking planet, and Klaine are the most solid they’ve ever been, and they’re living together in the loft, and they’re two perfectly imperfect brilliant artists in love, and they’re rewriting all the rules together fearlessly and forever, and I think we all just really need to go overboard in a massive way.

Given Darren Criss’s wheelhouse, Glee doesn’t give us Blaine behind a piano nearly often enough, and as he sings “All of Me,” it’s hard not to think of the last time he sat at a piano and sang to Kurt — that ended with a betrayed, furious Kurt, too. I hate watching Kurt and Blaine argue because I’m a human with a heart, but I love that Glee has found a way to create and explore conflict in their relationship without having one of them cheat on the other. … I’m (improbably) really happy with where the two of them are at the end of this season. I’m also very excited about how Kurt and Blaine now have a canonical bird fetish. Have a great summer, fan-fiction writers!
