After the breakup

It’s okay to cry darling, but that boy isn’t worth as much as you believe he is. I promise. When you’re done crying, if you like makeup, but on your favorite mascara and bold lip stick. Put on that killer outfit that you never wore because he didn’t like it. Do your hair up in the way you like it most. Slip on some cute shoes and take yourself out to get the coffee you never drank with him because he thought it made you too obnoxious. Call up the friends you haven’t seen in forever. All of this will feel impossible to do when your heart is shattered. Do what you have to do to forget him babygirl. You will not be blamed for the ways you tried to kill your sadness. Try your best to have fun without him, focus on making yourself feel better. You deserve to be selfish when you’re hurting. However you choose to do it, you are strong, you are brave. Losing your best friend is one of the worst feelings, but you’ve got this. You are stronger than you give yourself credit for. I believe in you.

especially when all I want to write about is you.

it’s almost like I can’t think of anything sweet enough to say

I could mention how pretty you sound when you speak

how when you speak I get butterflies

and how when you speak I can only focus on your voice and the words you say and cancel everything else out

yet somehow when I read these words over they don’t sound as sweet and charming as I intended

Merlot’s New Years Resolution Ideas

You deserve to be happy and healthy at all times. I want to share some different insights on how to make yourself a happier and healthier person without all the “exercise more” and “sleep more” you see everywhere. These are small things you can do to help yourself become exactly who you want to be in 2018.

1. Drink more tea. Tea is healthy, relaxing and it is an amazing antioxidant. 

2. Make a change. Get out of your usual routine, do something different in the mornings, or dye your hair a crazy color!

3. Spread happiness and positivity. Don’t release negative auras into the air in 2018. Keep yourself maintained and grateful to give your life a new happy upbeat.

4. Keep priorities in line. Don’t spiral out of control over something you have no control over yourself. Prioritize YOUR happiness when others are bringing you down and hurting you.

5. My final tip; Do not put yourself down for loving others. Love is a beautiful gift, and I used to think I was wrong for loving others who didn’t love me. Love is a blessing and a curse, but when life gives you love, embrace it.
