Miranda was once part of a project with funding and a clear mission, now hiding from her father as well as the organisation she has been devoted to for years. Confident, efficient, and in all ways a remarkable woman, she is still the second-in-command on board the Normandy and has, if nothing else, a connection to her sister as well as her Commander's trust.

With the only suggestion currently being to drop the plot, Kasumi and I say we do just that - it is a shame, but hey, whatever makes the RP thrive! Perhaps we can revisit a similar plot in the future. Perhaps it will just live on in our hearts.

Whatever happens, the thing we need to prioritise now is a new direction to move in and while I will be posting new recruitment ads during the coming week (I should get the first one ready some time this evening after work) I would also like to invite current members, both new and old, to a Skype date where we can talk and maybe get a rough outline of where to start again!

We’re thinking we meet at 11 AM PST/1 PM CST/8 PM CET on Saturday, February 7th in the Skype group.

Please try to show up, even for a short while!

Well, friends, the ones who appear to still be around - aside from yours truly and Kasumi - are Ashley/Mordin, Jack, Legion/Garrus, Liara, and Wrex. Now, that isn't a whole lot of people, but we've been at a low point before and bounced back so I'm not too worried!

The thing is, though, that we've been struggling for a while, so Kasumi and I would like to propose that we change things up, though we'd LOVE your input! What we can do is basically either try to keep going, pushing forward with what we have (and basically let Garrus and Liara take command of the situation on Omega in regards to the Normandy crew), skip forward in the plot, or drop this plot entirely and start over. Clean slate. Pick a new point in the story (make up something new between ME2 and 3, go post-ME3, whatever).

Please get back to us - say, before Feb. 1st - or reblog this and add your commentary. The latter might open up for more of a dialogue but if you're not comfortable doing that, an ask/fanmail to this blog is just as welcome and we won't publish anything if you ask us not to.

I'd love to start getting into roleplaying but I'm not sure where to start or what to do... any tips? Thanks!

My first suggestion would be to pick a character you're comfortable with, one you know well - whether it's someone from an established canon or someone you've created doesn't matter - and then find a forum or group that suits you & your character. Pay attention to how others go about it (like if most people write in a certain tense, it's a good idea to do the same even if you're more used to writing in another, and if most people refrain from using reaction images/gifs in replies it'd break the flow to suddenly have them).

Mostly, though, the important thing is - obviously - to choose both a character and a fandom/setting you enjoy, and to not stress too much over lengthy replies or the quality of every post c:

Considering her undying loyalty, her familiarity with both old and new members of Shepard's team, and her incredibly powerful position as the Shadow Broker, Liara is exactly where she needs to be - on the ship that took the first human Spectre from the Citadel. Working closely with her old friends, and with both EDI and Legion being able to supply information, she should be back on the Normandy in no time to move on to the next target. She can only hope that they'll find their Commander soon.
