Well, look at this! Sunday Soup Prep is back for this week. My kid has been very into tomato soup and grilled cheese. Since it means she'll actually eat a food with a vegetable in it, I'm happy to make it. I found a recipe online that's a solid knockoff of the recipe from a certain bakery cafe chain. So I fully admit that I have not stepped on the scale in a couple of months. Further to that, when my mom suddenly passed in December, the idea of caring about this number just fell by the wayside and I spent the end of 2022 in full on goblin mode. However, reality still reigns, and the new year is upon us. I was pleased to see this number be where it is. I haven't even been trying and this number was actually lower than my last weigh in in October (see second picture. I admit that I did not post here). So here we go. 2023 is going to be a big year for me. Time to be accountable. Here's a fun story about how things always work themselves out in the end. We bought this neat looking light fixture from @homedepot way back in late February 2020. We were just waiting for the right moment for my friend to be available to assist us in getting it installed. Of course, not long after that, a life-changing global pandemic occurred, and the install of this fixture just fell by the wayside. That is, until today, when we finally were able to get it installed. For Christmas dinner, I had picked up a small boneless rib roast from @wegmans. This was my first time making one. Could not be happier with the results. It was so goddamn good. Honestly one of the best parts of pumpkin carving is roasting the seeds when you're done.
