Happy Father's Day to the coolest guy I know. When he turned 50 he stopped cutting his hair, bought a Harley, and started taking guitar lessons. His first words to me upon getting my Fine Arts Degree were "Can I try on your cool hat?"

After running 13.1 miles in non-stop rain I'm finally warm and dry. Despite the weather the #manitobamarathon half marathon was fantastic. I PR'd with a time of 2:01:41. One of these days I'll Sub 2:00! It's been 12 years and 60lbs lost since I ran the #mbmarathon half marathon... Feels good. (at Manitoba Marathon Finish Line.)

I did it. My first half marathon since I was 14(2002). Finished in 2:02:10 (my time in 2002 was 2:46:06). I feel like I could've hit 2 hours but it was so crowded leaving the corral and finishing that I got held up a few times. I placed 42/120 for my age group. I never would've imagined that I was capable of this... Props to my brother @tarengesell who surprised me at mile 5 to cheer me on and give me high fives. My friend @deebo27 who put a big smile on my face when I came across him at mile 9 in a full storm trooper costume. And my running buddy @ocanderson for all her prerace training sessions and postrace hugs. (at Assiniboine Park Duck Pond)
