Peter Pettigrew was obsessed with Disney Movies

A world where good was good, bad was bad, and there was no crossover appealed to him

Whenever he was sick or sad, his mother would put on a Disney movie

He specifically loved Peter Pan and The Sword in the Stone

Young boys, going on adventures and saving the day

He could relate a little

When the Marauders were in their third year at Hogwarts, Disney’s Robin Hood came out

Peter dragged his friends to a muggle theater to watch the film

Sirius loved Robin’s steal from the rich, give to the poor philosophy

James thought that red-haired Maid Marian reminded him of a certain Gryffindor girl

Remus enjoyed the animated retelling of one of his beloved childhood books

Peter watched the story unfold, on the edge of his seat

For the first time in his life, Peter watched a Disney movie where good and bad weren’t quite as clear cut.

Unlike at home, where he dressed up and smiled at business colleagues of his parents 

Unlike around Lily, where he became a fumbling idiot or a cocky bastard

Around the marauders, James was himself

Sirius accepted James for his self-centered tendencies and kept James on his toes

Remus helped James with his homework and yearned to be as carefree as Potter

Peter looked up to James as if he were Wizard God himself.

James wanted nothing more than his friend’s safety.

He would wake up in the middle of the night and check to make sure his roommates were okay.

James would do anything to protect his friends

He knew that the marauders were forever, that this friendship would never end.

Remus Lupin had to be the smartest

He didn’t have a choice about it

If he wanted a job, he had to be the best

Cause if he wasn’t the best, who would hire a monster like him?

He didn’t think he could survive another moon, all alone, cold.

“Wait. You did all this for me?”

They worked tirelessly for months, just for him.

Remus Lupin knew that he was the smartest boy in their year

He knew that he was worthy of any job he wanted when he left Hogwarts

He still wasn’t hired

Remus Lupin knew that he was a monster, he was moody, and he was a bad friend

He knew that he wasn’t worthy of being loved by people like Sirius, James and Peter

He still got to be their friend

sirius could pass any exam without studying bc he secretely liked the class materials and loved to learn

james pretended he didnt need to study but did it in secret bc he didnt want to ruin his carefree aesthetic

peter needed to work but he never knew how to do it so he begged the other ones to help, but he also really liked to learn about what he liked

remus didnt really need to study to pass but he still did bc he needed the best grades to have a tiny chance to get a job after hogwarts

Sirius Black wore Muggle Band t-shirts. 

Not because he enjoyed the music, but because nothing makes his family angrier. 

(although, after Moony played him some Led Zepplin songs he may or may not have continued to listen) 

Sirius isn’t a Slytherin, he isn’t high-class pureblood material. 

Muggle Band t-shirts remind him that he is not his family

That he can choice his own destiny

Can be friends with half-bloods and muggle-borns

And when Sirius unconsciously insults muggles or mudbloods, Remus, Peter, or James is always there with some Muggle song

To remind him that he is better than that
