I love listening to music when I’m reading, and sometimes the song that comes on is inexplicably perfect for the tone or just sweeps me up in the moment. Just today, I added two more songs.

The first song came on when I was reading Zom 100, in one of the later volumes (I wanna say around 13-16?) and I don’t want to say the moment for fear of spoilers, but it was so effective it started this playlist.

Now, I’m sure I wrote this down somewhere, and I’m kicking myself over this, but for the life of me I can’t remember what I was reading when yakui the maid came up. I want to say it was Spider-Man Fake Red? I’ll have to go dig for a random screenshot and like cross-reference it with when I added them to this playlist or something.

Now, the chappel roan songs were just today. I was reading Superwomen in Love, going through volumes 2 and 3. I had been listening to a lot of king gizzard & the lizard wizard, but felt that wouldn’t match the tone, so after some digging I put on chappel. Now, was an instance where the songs I was listening to BRUTALLY clashed against the tone of a scene (again, no spoilers just in case,) but when nearing the end of volume 3, those two songs came on at the exact emotional climax of the volume, and while it was a bit slow paced for the fight scene that ensued, it nonetheless absolutely floored me, especially with some of the last panels in the volume.

Fully assuming only like two people are gonna read this ever but I’ll still try and find why the yakui the maid songs are there.

It is actually crazy the 180 my opinion on Yidhari took. When I first saw her, I assumed like a fool that she was just gonna be sexy and little else and lo and behold now she’s rapidly becoming one of my favorites!! Her lore is absolutely amazing and I’m vibing with her personality a ton. She’s also really fun to play from what I played in the story. If I don’t pull her I will be very sad!!!

And yeah she kinda is aggressively sexy at points but at this point I do not care because I love her

I love that she’s also a proxy, it’s such a unique trait for an agent and her being a writer on top of that is just so good. I kinda wish those both came across easier but I’m not gonna complain too hard because, for no reason whatsoever, I really really like her being a writer.
