I caught Peter in Chargestone Cave, he has a serious nature and is Mischievous. Joltik.
Caught Bolt the Zebstrika at Route 7, He’s Rash and Mischevious.
Caught a Litwick named Lumiere at Celestial Tower, he’s hasty and is somewhat stubborn
Using Bolt, Peter, Crikey, Frosty, Nougat, and Daisy for the next gym. Bolt and Peter for electric typing. Crikey for his rock move. Frosty for 2 of skyla’s birds. Nougat for defense. Daisy just because she’s a bird too.
Aiming for 36 or 37! During that time I got peter to evolve. Let’s see how Peter evolves at 35. Got half of the team fully leveled at this point. Wiiiiish me luck.
Next gym is Clay, who I also hear is very tricky. Luckily Flora is good against...pretty much ALL of them. I brought out Dewdrop who can do some damage to that krokorok. I evolved him with a stone I grabbed back in the bug gym leader town, i’m working to level him up because he’s just lv 22.
Caught a Vanillite in Cold storage. (Who’s gonna be now a part of the team bc works against krokorok), his name is Frosty (after the wendys treat).His nature is serious. His characteristic is Good perseverance.
I also caught a Ducklett (immunity to ground moves) on Driftveil Drawbridge, her name is Daisy. She has a lax nature and often dozes off.
Got a Karrablast on route 6 also, Kevin has a mild nature and he’s somewhat vain.
This time it was debbie, I was trying to implement a strategy a friend of mine did on her nuzlocke but I think luck just wasn’t on my side and they managed to get a nasty blow on her. Crikey carried the team though, I gave him rock tomb to handle the emolgas and some soft sand for those zebstrikas.
I’ve been collecting some more pokemon! I finally have pokemon in the box which might not sound like a good thing but I think it is. It means I don’t lose team mates as quickly. Regardless of that though here’s some pokemon I caught:
BTW: I counted the desert resort- because the entrance and actual resort have different encounters- a pinwheel exp. I caught one near the outside and one inside.

Hoping to rely primarily on Crikey, being a ground type and also owning some soft sand I got in Desert Resort. Also working for Debbie since she might be good for the Emolgas. I realized I can’t keep Flora because of the Zebstrika’s nasty flame charge. I might swap her out for my yamask I caught and level it up.
OH i don’t know if I mentioned it last time but btw- flora is now a lilligant! I got a sunstone at some point!
Since, based on my lookings of bulbdapedia, the desert resort has seperate encounter rates similar to pinwheel. The entracne and the desert having different stuff. I decided maybe this is a chance to gt back up on pokemon so I caught a dwebble with a quick ball.
Her name is Debbie. She has a impish nature and is a little quick tempered. She went in the quick pretty fast. The Sigilyph (That I named Sigil) was much harder, she would refuse to go in the ball and usually would cheat me out last minute. I was tempted to use Timer Balls until I realized I’d probably be better off using that for a legendary.
Electric gym leader’s highest pokemon is 27 so maybe I should go for 29???
While on the route that’s covered in sandstorms I got myself a Sandile. I was hoping for Darumaka but Sandile is still a pretty good pokemon. I grinded in that one battle company building, I even grinded my Petlil and Sandile (Crikey, Brave Nature, Alert to Sounds ). I’m using EXP share I got from the company building to help grind up my team, esp since I need to put away Crikey and Flora because of type disadvantage (Bug type gym). Currently Everyone except Nougat is level 22 (Nougat is 23). My plan is to grind on some of these trainers on routes and city until i’m level 26.
I’ll admit my team combination is very unlucky, but i’m hoping for the best with it anyway. Especially Nougat, who learned Ancient Power and became even more useful.
I heard that when you battle pokemon you have to be aware of the EVs they give you, which I have no idea what gives me what. Since i’m not at such a disadvantage though (Outside of Pinwheel Forest, i’m looking at you with your fighting types) i’m more free to battle whatever. (Darumaka can be taken easily by Crikey and Sandile can go down thanks to Flora. Scraggy is the only one I don’t have a big advantage on but the encounter rate is so low on that guy)
I ended up going in at level 24, having literally only two pokemon on my team. Chompy and Nougat. Chompy handled the Whirlpede moderately well thanks to using confuse ray but couldn’t handle the dwebble and passed on. Nougat, despite having a disadvantage with normal type moves absolutely carried the team (I like to imagine in revenge). I implemented usage of secret power’s side effects and mixed it with a spam of growl to loosen the risk factor. It took a while to get through dwebble but we actually managed levanny decently enough.
I caught a Petlil. I Wanted to use a Heal Ball but apparently she only has taste for the basic bitch pokeball. The Petlil has a relaxed nature and a sturdy body.
So Remixia was kinda my only stand on the wild timburrs and in the past she always defeated them but uh.
ON ONE SLIVER OF HEALTH THE TIMBURR GOT A CRITICAL

why do I always get criticals??? Because Pokemon White I learned has raised crit rates. OH DEAR.

I fucking forgot N battles oyu before you enter that damn gym so I was SO WORRIED About his stupid Timburr. Luckily I had Chomper use Confuse ray, then I got Pearlie to use Torment (which almost fucked me bc it tried to use bide) used a bit of sand attack, then managed to get a crit on fury swipes. The Timburr was my biggest concern haha. Nobody died luckily!!
I eventually went with my team with a lv 22 Lilly, A lv 21 Nougat and Chompy, and a Lv 20 Pearlie.
Bad News: Lilly died from Lenora’s Herdier, specfically a nasty Take down.
Good news: Lenora’s Herdier died by using that Take down
I spammed Lenora’s Watchhog with Sand Attacks until it physically could not go any lower. While its Retaliate proves to still be very much a issue, it likens my chances a least to not being put to sleep as much. Needing only some fresh waster on Chompy I managaed to defeat her Watchdog.

I got a Woobat in the cave after beating team plasma. Her name is Swirl she’s lonely but strong willed.

I worked on rounding my current team all to 15 at this point- aiming to get them to 20 to 22 range.
I noticed I rush back to the pokecenter a lot, what feels like every trainer based battle even. I suppose it’s better to be cautious than dead tho lol.
While training Lilly evolved into a Herdier!!! :)!
That one preschoolers Petlil was annoying but at least no one died.
CAught a Tympole, her name is Remixia. She’s Calm with a Sturdy Body. Might work as a water type replacement if she doesn’t die instantly.

I pretty much ran out of sand attack pp with a level 13 patrat. All of my toher pokemon are 11 because grinding in the pervious area is hard when the typical pokemone are 4-6. 7 at best! Least now there’s a chance I can grind on shaking grass with Audino. I read it unlocks after the first gym.
I forgot the OTHER scientist gives you a item after the first gym for a sec also. While I don’t need a HM slave I realize I need to use cut just to progress the story in this one area. I think. fuck.
Since tackle is the same power I decided Chompy might have Cut?? Idk man

I accidentally stumbled on shaking grass in the next route so uh (And by that I forgot I didn’t catch a pokemon this route and realized only when Audino popped into battle)- my next team mate is a Audino. His name is Nougat, He’s sassy and likes to thrash about.
Good chunk of my team at this point is level 14, Pearlie is 13 and Nougat is 10.
The low hp music spreads more fear into you when you think about how nuzlocke works.

I got a pansear from the lady, read that you should definitely take it. His name is Scorch. He jas a relaxed nature and good perserverance. Noticed a good couple of my pokemon are chill. Highest level in that gym is 14 so maybe i’ll go for 15 or 16.
And I instantly lost scorcher trying to fight another level 10 patrat in the gym.

So I got a Partrat on my next route, I had to double check to make sure it counted as a seperate route. I’ll admit, patrat is not a pokemon I usually bring with me! I named him Chompy :). Level 7 with a careful nature but is Impetuous and silly.
I’m gonna use the pokecenter for after caught experiences. That way I can quickly move onto training them. Course this can’t be used frequently bc not all wild pokemon areas be like that :/. Mostly just trying not to waste potions as that’s a problem for me lol.
I realized Lilly has pickup which makes her my instant favorite. Because that’ll give me those good items baybeyyy.
Note to self also: Look up when your rivals will try to fight you just in case.
Read some tips for nuzlocking this game, advantages being not really needing a HM slave and I should watch out for Cheren. Also that Unova, everything can and will kill me.

For the second gym, grind up all your team to about 22 unless you have a Roggenrola
If you don't have a water type on your team, choose the cover fossil. Carracosta is a beast late game with sturdy/rocky helmet
For Clay, make sure you have something to counter his Excadrill. If you can't finish the Excadrill up quickly, it will set up in your face with Hone claws“

Was kinda stuck on which one to go with but I ended up using Sandra. Just sounds the coolest. Also fits the most comfortably.
Another reason to go for pokemon white is that I really like the rivals in this game, they really feel like friends i’ve had before lmao. Cheren used to be my favorite out of the two when I was younger but I think i’m preferring Bianca nowadays.
