The purest of gays
I loved the new Owl House episode “Understanding Willow” and I could go on and on about Amity’s further character development and her and Luz’s bond.
But, I can’t help but notice no one is talking about Willow’s dads. And, I’m not talking about how she has two dads (which is awesome). I’m talking about how Willow seems to resemble only one of them.
Seeing that she seems to only take after one of them reminded me that Willow is called “Half-A-Witch Willow”.
This makes me think that Willow’s dads used a surrogate in order to have Willow and that the surrogate was not a witch.
I found this little detail pretty interesting. Also, it’s pretty amazing that TOH not only has LGBT representation. But, it also portrays LGBT families.
I just finished reading “The Shadow of Kyoshi” novel and it was amazing. I went into it expecting good things and it surpassed my expectations tenfold. I was hooked from start to finish. I even tried spacing out the last 50 pages as much as possible in order to prolong the ending.
If you like the Avatar franchise this is a must read. If you like Kyoshi, read it. If you like powerful women, read it. And if you like an action packed story with an LGBT lead (who is proudly in a same-sex relationship with another powerful woman) this is the perfect book.
I really hope we get a third book. I’m not ready for Kyoshi’s story to end yet.
Got my early copy of “The Shadow of Kyoshi” today from Barnes & Noble!!!
I’m so excited excited to read this!

There’s a tiny detail in season 5 that caught my eye
In Adora’s perfect future, Catra is wearing shoes.
It’s a small blink and you miss it detail but it stood out to me. Catra has never worn shoes (except for that one episode where she had to wear snow boots to not freeze) , and yet here she is wearing these kitten heels (lol).
Catra never wears shoes because they slow her down; she can’t run, or fight, or jump even half as well, as demonstrated by the snow boots episode.
So the fact that she is wearing them here so comfortably can only mean one thing:
Catra is done running, she is done fighting, she is perfectly at ease with her vulnerabilities.
Alright, bye gotta cry ✌🏼
Are you serious????
God, this warms my heart.
thats my take
Baby 🐱
She loses hair in summer and her gf is already used to it
They got their happily-ever-after.
Steven Universe vs Disney
God, I can’t wait to get these rings
Also, I saw this floating around on Twitter this morning and my half-asleep ass immediately searched it up and bought it.
No regrets
God, I can’t wait to get these rings
Reading some of the articles Noelle has shared after the drop of Season 5 really opened my eyes to how difficult it must’ve been to make the show as gay as it was. I thought Dreamworks was just being super cool with everything, but she talked about how she really had to take her time with it; doing her best to be super convincing, being careful in picking the right times/vibe to meet with the execs, and not reveal all of what she wanted to be portrayed on screen all at once. How the catradora endgame she wanted was revealed to the exces later on, and how she broke down and cried when it was approved. It just goes to show what happens when actual LGBT folk run a show – they’ll actually fight for that representation! AND make sure it is good representation!
(I mean, would a cis-hetero have fought/pushed as hard for that rep? Or would they have just shrugged and been like “welp, it is what it is” and moved on? Previous shows have paved the way for She-Ra, but Noelle really pushed and pushed what they could show on screen)
Noelle also did a great job of making the representation feel normal. I’m tired of gay/queer characters having their gayness/queerness be their only defining characteristic/personality or dying off in the end, and She-Ra just set the bar extremely high for every future show.
I’m a sobbing mess after reading her interviews. She really fought for LGBT representation.
Sometimes I just sit and think about how Noelle managed to take a beloved 80’s cartoon and make it main character gay. That’s truly crazy to think about.
She-Ra is honestly my favorite piece of media like...ever.
I can’t think of anything else that has destroyed me and built me back up like this show. It’s truly remarkable a single show can reduce me to a sobbing mess so many times.
Also, the two main characters were gay and in love. That’s something you don’t see. Especially in a reboot. I can only imagine the doors that this will open up.
Truly, this show will go down in history.
Goodbye She-Ra. You will be missed.
Just got off work and I’m going to try to get at least 2 hours of sleep before my She-Ra binge.
Got the desk ready 👌
