Cant draw digitally atm but I just wanna ramble for a sec that I absolutely adore perpetual victim ocs/characters,, and on the other side perpetual mean girls/villains it makes me GIDDY to see unabashedly mean and lowkey kinda horrible ocs and characters,, like yes fucking FINALLY someone not trying to justify their own morals through a character and just making one that makes THEM happy

Current day Luz and Hunter are in their late 40s but they had Lunala when they were in their 20s! Vvry much a surprise to the both of them lmao

Also Hunter 100% thought they were married since age like,,, 19,, buddy thought the matching earrings were also a human way of signifying marriage (It IS but the Boiling Isles still have a legal way to get legally married)

Also headcanon time- it took Hunter a long time to be comfortable wearing yellows and blues again, just for the fact he associated it so closely with Belos and being the Golden Guard,, now he wears primarily yellow again,,

And Luz has a litany of werid and wacky patterns she wears, even as she ages,, after having Lunala she mostly stuck to clothes Eda made her and her Good Witch Azura merch bc giving birth was hell and she Craves Comfort lol

Also also a bit of explanation for their white streaks- Luz got hers after the Belos fight, with the stress of the Titan transformation taking a toll on her while Hunters is from the trauma of experiencing Belos's mind AND the Belos fight,, having a kid also gives both of them grays

Me when the couple has a purple yellow color scheme and are their thematic parallels *cri cat*

Also Lunala met Ophelia in elementary when she lost her sensory toy, got overstimulated, and suck her fangs into the closest nice-looking person. Lunala was and still is a very bitey person lol,, Tiny Child Ophelia, being a shapeshifter and all, has absolutely no concept of pain so Lunala sinking her teeth into her arm got her a one way ticket "Youre my friend now :3",, Amity is less than amused and VERY worried bc infection lololol,, adult Ophelia still keeps the scars in her arm no matter what form she takes as a little affectionate reminder of her bff and how they met (Violence)

Its 4 am but im absolutely obsessed with the lore of my nextgen toh,,, mostly considering Luz and Hunter

You gots two heros of the Isles, both extremely powerful in their own right and both have made huge leaps and bounds in terms of human witch peace and culture sharing and other fields such as resourceful palsman wood harvesting and charting unexplored parts of the Titan- huge heros so ofc you think they're gonna be cool and so badass

But you meet them and theyre just,, some Lil Guys. Yeah theyre badass but Hunter hasn't left his lil creation zone in 2 days bc he's got a wonderful idea for a carving and Luz is right there beside him manically writing up a draft after shes been stuck in writing block for a week. Neither of them have spoken a word to each other.

Luz is a accredited bestselling author of fantasy and nonfantasy alike, being notable for exploring various new schools of magic and finding new plants to cultivate and protect,, shes one of the biggest supporters for others and is always there to perk someone up or give them a lending ear, even if theyre a stranger- but also shes running on three cups of coffee, has probably ingested ink, and still hisses at others.

Hunter is a phenomenal palsman carver and has been a massive help in finding other trees that are capable of being made into palsman, both ensuring longevity into both palsman and the original tree species theyre carved out of. He's also a killer Flyer Derby player and regularly kills the competition when he plays locally- he would be a reigning champion if he cared to actualy join a team. But also he still picks up any vaughly baby sized thing up with his mouth and has regular staring contests with Hooty. He has not won.

The two are a wonderful couple, being able to speak without saying anything, and are the reason the human and witch world mesh so well together.... but they are also just lil freaks. Lil guys. Impromptu musicals with 5 acts and a dramatic death or two is commonplace in their house and so is not talking to eachother for DAYS despite being in the same vicinity bc theyre hyperfocused on their separate things

Not even taking into the fact that their daughter gots ALL of their wackiness- Lunala had NO CHANCE,,

(Cute lil headcanon is that Luz can go for quick, productive bursts of manic energy/episodes, but she tires out quickly after getting something done, while Hunter can have a extended manic episode but get whatever hes hyperfocused on slower and sometimes gets out of his manic episode b4 he can finish it (Since I headcanon that Grimwalkers have generally less needs than say, the average human or witch. Two weeks for a human to starve, one to dehydrate could be a Grimwalkers month to starve, two to dehydrate to make an example),, usually Luz passing out snaps him out of his manic state and gets the two of them to bed,, or usually the couch bc he is NOT carrying her that far,, Lunala usually pips over and throws a blanket over the two if theyve passed out on the floor or the couch.)

I would love to write a fic in which scientist Gem moves into a small fishing town to study the abnormalities in the waters and within the town itself, and she eventually has to team up with fisherman Grian to defeat a supernatural entity that she accidently awakens with her curiosity.

FINALLY. THE REASON WHY I MADE THIS SIDE BLOG. HER.

Been having a TON of brainrot from TOH again and my old mlp next gen habits kicked in sooooo... yeag

So! I think I should begin with just the fact that she is, for lack of a better term, a anomaly. Grimwalkers have never been recorded to reproduce- on top of her being a weird mixture of not really human and not really witch... Uncanny valley for both species yk?

Hunter and Luz were in their mid-20s when Luz got pregnant with Lunala,, which was a shock for both. More Hunter than Luz lmao she was cruising. At the time the two had just started up a cultural exchange of sorts with the human realm so on top of the stress of new baby... yeah it was a time.. Doesn't help that halfway through Luz's body was like- smth,, smth aint right and so while not on bedrest, she did have to tone down her activities and now, with medicine advancing, many theorize that the left over Titan magic in her is the only reason she survived.

Then out popped Lunala! Lil freak of a girl. Hunter cussed out the fact hes a clone bc bby girl gots her wack goofy ahh cousin(?)s blue eyes- Phillips last F u lol- the yellow from Mama only started coming out when she turned 4-ish. On top of that, she got the staple four digits with pawpads all Grimwalkers have and EXTREMELY horrible equilibrium and thermoregulating ability. She is bundled up 24/7 and cant walk without her cane. Messed up gal.

Due to the irregularities of magic during her formation her bile sac cannot filter magic properly- some days she'll be equal to a fully grown witch and others she'll be bedbound due to her own bile sac essentially leaking the excess out of her when a usual one would get rid of the "used up" magic via normal ways- another reason why she uses her cane. On top of this, the excess magic (if she hasn't used any in a while) starts to drip out of her mouth, being almost acidic. A fine line she has to walk between literally spewing acid and being poisoned by her own body. She survives tho! Also her teeth too big for her gotdamn mouth,, queen of braces

BUT OH HO HO. THIS DOES NOT STOP HER FROM BEING A LIL CREECHER. A GOOFBALL. A MENACE. She looks /TERRIFYING/ when happy/scheming but genuinely means well- taking her Mama's words to heart- "It becomes bullying when no one but yourself is having fun" and essentially tries to make others laugh/be in a good mood,, unfortunately a lot of people find her to be unnerving- only really finding a few good friends in Ophelia- Willow and Amity's adopted daughter-, King, Collector, and a school friend Ricardo- a human on the Boiling Isles via the cultural exchange program.

Outside of other's around her age, she gets along with her parents and family wonderfully! Lunala can be very quiet when she wants too and has found a particular gift for essentially reading people and being able to help them- magical therapist if you will. On top of exploring the human realm with her Auntie Vee (Who has become a cross country explorer and nature conservationist), she has a hell of a time helping her Dad practice for his games or his most recent pailsman carving, or helping her Mama document the entirety of the Boiling Isles or be a proof reader for her Mama's books. Fun stuff!

Her pailsman- Manny- is named after Luz's dad, after seeing pictures her Abuela left out. Manny and Lunala are two peas in a pod- with both being seen as unnerving. On top of that, Manny being a King Cobra gives a slight hint to Lunala's... less than spectacular anger. She doesn't get angry often but when she does her bile sac works overtime with the amount of adrenaline she gets from her anger, which, of course, leads to the acidic overspill and very... unsightly view.

As she gets older, and learns to control her anger more, she'll become a terrifying politician both in the Boiling Isles and in the human realm and hobbyist child psychologist.
