Interviewer: Well, since you’re already here I suppose we can start the interview. Before we begin I am required to inform you that we’re currently being recorded, you are okay with this?
Student 01: Sure, whatever. I don’t really care.
Interviewer: Perfect. Now to start, please state your full name and the talent you’ve been gifted by Hope’s Peak Academy.
Student 01: Etsuko Saito, the ultimate artist.
Interviewer: Perfect. Next question, would you say your living environment contributed to your love of painting?
Student 01: I mean I guess. My art was about the only colourful thing in that place, livened it up a bit. It was like an escape for me…

Interviewer: You’re not being very cooperative.
Student 01: The fuck’s that supposed to mean?! I’ve answered most of your questions.
Interviewer: You have, but we expected a bit more out of you…
Student 01: What do you want, an essay?!
Interviewer: A smile would suffice.
Interviewer: …Next question, do you find yourself interested in any of the other students in your class?
Student 01: Weird question. I haven’t met any of them in person, but going off their profiles, none of them? They all either look like pretentious dickheads or total wimps, I can’t see myself liking any of them.
Interview: Not a single one?
Student 01: Nope, next question. I wanna get this over and done with.
Interviewer: Your cooperation is lacking-
Student 01: Say cooperation again.
Interviewer: …Noted. Next question, is there anything you hope to gain from attending our academy?
Student 01: A better life, what does anyone wanna gain from school? I guess seeing my paintings in a gallery would be cool, but mostly I just want to move out… living here is better than staying back there.
Interviewer: I can assure you, the dorms are designed to maximise student comfort.
Student 01: They better be.
Interviewer: …It really sounds like you’re threatening me.
Student 01: Good cause that’s exactly what I’m doing.
Interviewer: Miss Saito, I’d like to please ask you to refrain from threatening staff.
Student 01: Are you going to expel me?
Student 01: Then shut up and finish your questions, I want out of here.
Interviewer: *sigh* I’ll try to make this quick for both of us then. Next question, would you say there was an event in your past that inspired you to walk this path?
Interviewer: Reading through your files, we noticed a few… peculiar incidents throughout your history. Particularly, the death of one Miss-
Student 01: I don’t think that’s any of your fucking business.
Student 01: You’re not even trying to hide it anymore. Whatever, just move on, you’re not getting an answer for that one.
Interviewer: …Very well then, I have one last question for you Miss Saito. What kind of hope do you want to bring to the world?
Student 01: And what’s that supposed to mean?
Interviewer: How do you hope to inspire the non-ultimates with your talent?
Student 01: You want the truth? I don’t give a shit, in fact I think this ‘hope’ stuff is total fucking bullshit.
Student 01: No no, I’m speaking now. All this ‘Hopes of the World’ stuff you’re feeding the public is total bullshit. Do you really think someone like me is supposed to inspire a whole generation, just because I can paint well? Or what about the ultimate lucky student, what’s she going to do? Inspire the masses by showing them how much money she has, I fucking doubt it.
Interviewer: …I think we’re done here. Have a good afternoon Miss Saito.
Student 01: Thank god. I sincerely hope I never see you again. *door closes*
Interviewer: I thought I said don’t stick me with the violent ones.
