As you may know, this blog is in the process of renovation, since the mod wants to re-introduce my character to the mhgw, as well as use this opportunity to really clean up the blog. The mod would like to thank you all for your patience during this period, and we’re happy to say that this is coming along, and should be ready to go within the next couple of days!
But before that, this blog will be archived in favor of a new one. So this way it really can be a fresh start!

Hey everyone! Hope you’re all doing well. This message is for the newer members of the MHGW – I just want to clear some things up and hopefully alleviate some misgivings that have been expressed to us. As I’m sure you all know, right now there is a MHGW Skype chat that the senior members have designated as the “main” chat where most of the longtime MFers hang out.
It’s been brought to our attention that some of you are concerned why you haven’t been added to that main chat. That possibly we aren’t going to accept any new members into it, or that we’ve looked over you all and decided that you specifically shouldn’t be added.
I want to assure you all that this isn’t the case. While we do intend to put a screening system in place to admit new members into the main, the simple truth is we haven’t figured out a fair way to do that yet. And because of that we haven’t been able to add any new members.
I’m sure that many of you see the main chat as this megahub for the MHGW that’s been completely streamlined…but sadly that is not the case.
Back before the MHGW became as large as it is, new members were more or less judged by a single criteria: were they active? If a new person posted consistently for at least a week or so, hadn’t done anything to piss off the other members, or hadn’t asked to be added to the main, they only needed a small consensus by those currently present in the chat to be added.
And this worked…in the beginning. Over time, some of the new members who were added ended up causing friction with the seniors. There were quite a few fights, and on a few occasions people had to be kicked from the chat.
After this we decided we needed a new system to add people. First we decided that in order to add someone, a consensus of 100% among all the members was required. We rarely ever got that 100%.
So next we tried what many of you know as the Kouhai chat which, I know, was a giant mess. The idea was by letting the seniors interact with the juniors, we could feel out how well you’d interact in a group. Unfortunately we were never able to hammer out a way to add people into the main from that Kouhai chat. We tried voting, but that came across as too personal.
The reason we need to screen people is because we want to avoid blow ups that happened in the main before–I can promise you, they weren’t fun to watch. We’re looking for a new way to add people, one that’s fair to all those involved. Our chat rules are in need of a rewrite too.
We do want to add new people, but we also want to make sure the main chat environment is a safe one where everyone can feel comfortable.
So to the new members who have talked to us, concerned that none of you have been added to the main? It’s not your fault. Please, be patient with us as we try to work out a fair system.
Currently, the mods of Kirei, Illya, Shirou, Lancelot (Herc), and Medea, as well as myself are working together to create that system. Ishtar and @scarfdyedblack (former MF Mordred and Tamamo) are also helping us out. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask me. We know you’ve been worried, and we don’t want to create the impression that we’re unapproachable.

“Something other than Magecraft? I haven’t considered it before...” She recalls a cold spring morning, hours spent searching for walnut buds in the snowy woods. Despite what that man had done to her, the thought of those days and that happiness she experienced still brings a small smile to herself, and maybe that was why she had insisted to have an entire plot of those same flowers planted in the castle garden.
“Hmm... don’t laugh, but maybe selling flowers?”

She thinks of Taiga and her job teaching, then of all the loud children that job would require working with.
“I wouldn’t want to be a teacher.”

// For a while now my activity has been very... sporadic and inconsistent. I feel awful about this honestly, both because this is an RP group and I’m keeping a character that others might want but at the same time not doing much, and because I’ve treated those I’ve rped with so poorly with how slow I’ve been. I apologize profusely for this, I really do.
This community has done so much for me by letting me in, and I’ve done so little in return. I guess I’m still new to this? It was my first time seriously roleplaying like this, but that’s not really a reason not to improve! While I don’t have as much time as I used to when I started Illya, I want to at least put in as much effort as I can and especially when I can.
So, I’m going to reboot Illyasviel in the MHGW, because I never really found my grasp with her character when I transferred her into the MHGW, and a lot has changed to the point where I’m not fully sure where this blog is anymore.
This does mean most if not all of my current threads will need to be dropped, (except ones with @motherfuckingnpc since we have a specific AU for those) but this will also give me the opportunity to be more diligent and responsive to threads, so in a way this is sort of a new start for me too! I know I have issues when it comes to actually reaching out to communicate to my RP partners (as in I pretty much don’t haha..) but this can certainly help me to get over that.
So you can look forward to a new intro post for Illya soon, and after that I’ll be making a starter call for anyone who wants to interact with her.

Hi there, I was thinking on making a Prima!verse Illya ( only her), but I want to know if it's fine with you?
//Hello! I apologize because my reasons may be a bit selfish, but I can’t say I would be 100% alright with a Prisma Illya in the MHGW.
While FSN and Prisma Illya are very different characters in their own regards due to their upbringings, they still share a lot of relationships in common, so I'm a little concerned about us stepping on each others’ toes at points.
Sorry if that seems unfair at all... If I knew who you were I might feel a little more comfortable about the idea? But for now I can’t say I would be. ^^;
