as many of you already know, i was an admin of this group. i realize that the ownership change was sudden, so i figure i owe a little bit of an explanation. 

now, i’m only speaking for myself as i don’t feel comfortable speaking of other people’s personal details, but bare with me. 

simply put, i don’t have the time to run a directory. i’m moving across the world in less than two months, and with visa applications, apartment hunting, and university preparations, i’m too stressed to deal with running a main page. roleplaying should be fun, but it was getting to the point where it felt too strenuous to call a hobby. 

and to be frank, i’m not a big fan of large directories (for myself, at least). i know that’s somewhat ironic, but when mapo was created, we thought that there would only be twenty or so muses. the scale the group reached was unexpected and, quite frankly, overwhelming. 

i could go on and on but i don’t really feel that it’s necessary to do so. you all are great and i hope you’ll adore the new admins as much as i am grateful for them. treat them as well as you treated us!

he swears he hears her voice crack but that could be due to the music (it definitely is), shrugging it off like he does the pain. the only exception is that there’s a small stinging sensation to his cheek. obviously this girl had a bit of humor to her and it earns a a bit of laughter from him, a tad bit surprised when she takes him by the wrist and begins dragging him to the bar.

“you got a good punch and a tight grip?” he ends his question with a smile, “seriously you don’t have to apologize.. buuuuut i’m gonna guess you’ve never hit mma fighter before so if i was in your position i’d probably be a little worried too.”

“a what?”

she’s dumbfounded by his words but manages to press the cold glass against his jawline, a hollow expression and parted lips accompanying her action. her cynicism tells her this is an elaborate prank, a lie to comfort her, but his seemingly genuine amusement allows her to let her guard down a little.

“so this means you get hit all the time.” she sighs in relief but is instantly filled with guilt at her concession – being grateful that he’s hit often is still a dick move. “n-not that it makes what i did any better. i know you said i don’t have to apologize, but i’ll keep doing it. i mean, i can’t say i’ve never intentionally punched someone in the face before, but i don’t think you deserved it. unless you did something fucked up lately and this was just karma coming back to bite you in the ass.”

–– seung couldn’t help the excitement he was feeling. even though he didn’t really show it, it was obvious from the way his eyes were lit up and his hands were tapping his thighs as he waited for them to get to their destination. he looked over at akira only to see her half asleep. he wanted to ask her if she wanted to just go back to her place and rest, but he didn’t. knowing akira, she would disagree.

as he followed her out of the train, at first he had to speed up a little to catch up with her. he didn’t expect akira to have this much energy and excitement when he just saw her almost falling asleep. seung just listened to her when she talked. the things she usually told him always made him have thoughts that are so much different from what he usually thought about. it was like a breath of fresh air. the taller male shook his head a little, an almost visible smile on his face.

          “i think it’s interesting to see what             your interests are, you know?” 

he typed on his phone and showed her. for the small moment of silence there, seung wanted to utter a few words when he noticed the expression on akira’s face. what he wanted to say was right at the tip of his tongue yet his anxiety just so happened to remind him that he was in public and he instantly went back to his shell. 

          “have you ever thought about studying             it on the side?”

her eyes scan the words on his phone and a warm smile spreads across her lips, small hints of adoration entangled in her expression. she wants to link her arm with his, to show more than just coy smiles and express words of fondness, but she knows better. instead she voices a quiet laugh, shrugs as her hands find her pockets.

“yeah, it’s kind of nice having friends that are into different things than you, right?” 

she emphasizes their relationship, but not because she’s afraid her affection will be misconstrued – it’s simply because she holds him dear to her and wants to remind him of that. he’s truly special, a glimmer of sincerity in a sea of lies. but seung is undoubtedly peculiar to those who don’t look past the surface; he’s enclosed by a cocoon, a wall of silence. she’s decoded him to a certain degree, but he remains a mystery she’s intent on solving.

“hm?” she’s caught off guard by his next presentation. “oh, i don’t know. i guess i’ve thought about it, but i think it’s a little late for that, y’know? it takes a lot of school and i’m already... here. my life was written for me the day i was born and i’m not a good enough of an author to rewrite it.”

her feet stop instinctively before the marble pathway and she strolls gleefully toward the entrance, holding it open for seung before entering herself. the tickets are inexpensive, a petty fee she’s more than willing to expend for the both of them. she hands him his ticket and then gestures toward the hallway, leaves the decision of where to go in his hands.

“left or right?”

“well you’re sure not making a good example of yourself of someone who’d handle rejection well.” eunyong initially wasn’t that much annoyed by the confrontation, but the more akira opens her mouth and effortlessly replies back with anger the more her blood boils. and when the time comes she takes actual offense to her threat of hitting her–does she know that she needs her face? (she doesn’t. that’s a conversation that will be saved when they’re not at each other’s necks, maybe.)

“what the fuck is wrong with you?” her voice rises, “you’re acting like i kicked your dog! it’s not that serious! are you obsessed with me, or something?” 

now if eunyong was the girl she was in the past she would curl up and take every insult; submitting to her. and honestly she wants to back off and allow that, but the mask she had given herself years ago protests and pushes her forward recklessly–she raises her hands, pushing akira, “hit me, hit me!” her hands return to her sides, fingers curling into the palms of her hands.

she throws her head back in an exaggerated laugh that’s as transparent as glass. her attempt to appear unperturbed fails her; animosity bares its teeth like a rabid animal for all to see, unwarranted bitterness. her lack of rationale is discernible, anger far beyond theatrical.

“what’s wrong with me?” a loud scoff. “what’s wrong with you? you really think that lying about such petty things is necessary?”

the shove is unexpected, but even though she won’t admit it until she dies, she knows she deserves it. her emotions control her, a beast that’s without any self restraint. but she’s too far gone, too spiraled and anxious to deny the driving force. with a deep breath, she composes herself, shoves her hands into her pockets to restrain them.

“i’m not going to hit you. but, to be fair, i don’t think anything i’ve said today is wrong. you’re the type of person that other people need to be warned about. you’re not trustworthy. i mean, come on. was it worth the effort to lie? maybe i’m stupid but i...” her expression softens, grimace shifts into a small frown. “i thought we were friends. and friends don’t lie through their teeth to one another.”
