@nodaisyinsight: right. it's not like vincent van gogh just painted "stary night" the first time he picked up a brush! aw, well. thank you. it is nice to go back though, just to see improvement, though.
@nodaisyinsight: fear of putting themselves into their own work, fear of rejection of the work (because in a sense, if the work was rejected, they'd be rejected because they put a part of themselves in the work), fear of mistakes... the list, unfortunately, goes on and on. it's like the world is conditioning everyone to find any and every excuse imaginable to prevent them from showing their true selves to anyone.
@littleboyblue: exactly my point. if you never do poorly, will you really appreciate it when you've done your best? it's like the people that say they would replace any negative memories with positive. if there's no low point, you won't appreciate the high points.
@littleboyblue: the only problem with that is if you don't put yourself out there, you'll never make anything that *means* anything. you have to take a risk, stop worrying about what other people might think. because in the end, if you aren't doing your best, you're only disappointing yourself. i guess that's a lesson some of the people on this sight need to learn.
