Neonatal Asphyxia Project Updates
This semester, the Neonatal Asphyxia Project has made incredible progress! As a member of the Build sub-team, Iâve been able to put my classroom-taught SolidWorks skills to real use, as my team CADed rough models of all of our cooling system components, including the motherboard, fan, pump, etc. This exercise had two purposes: 1) to improve our skills in CAD and 2) to 3D print the parts, so that the Build sub-team had accurate models and dimensions for the building of the frame. The printers were extremely busy at the end of the semester, so we didnât end up printing our parts, but we made them out of cardboard as stand-ins until we are able to print in the Fall. Here is Aria and I measuring dimensions to size down our PVC frame!
Although we worked hard this semester, we also made time for fun! We had several bonding events throughout the semester, including homemade brunch, a pizza party, a Super Smash Bros hangout, and a mixer with The Initiative. Weâve loved bonding, and we love being friends as well as teammates!
