“having good balance is definitely helpful. I think the hardest part for me was feeling comfortable enough with the other girls that they wouldn’t drop me,” she said with a small smile. “I’m doing good, just recuperating after prom I suppose. How about you?”

Mia smiled at the girl giving her a quick nod. “Of course love, anything I can do to help.” The friendship between the two had blossomed online, but having the girl in front of her was a bit surreal.

“cheer around here is taken super seriously, but like I had no official experience before I went to tryouts and I made it. then again I’ve basically been flipping on my own since I could walk so not sure i’m the best example. I mean you could try, the worst thing they could say is no right?”

El was slouched down on the couch, a planked covering her body while she was waiting for Mia to decide what movie they were going to watch. They’ve had a long talk a few weeks back and Eleanor could see that the other girl was really putting an effort to preserve their friendship. It felt good to have her back. “So, what are we gonna watch?”
Mia grabbed the bowl of popcorn and two drinks bringing it over to the sectional, before flopping down on the coach. She took the end of the blanket El was curled up under and slid herself underneath as well. She picked up the controller and began to scroll through the options on Netflix. “I don’t know what are you in the mood for? We can do rom comedy or horror or we can binge watch a television show. I’m really up for anything.”

Lucas: Maybe a puny banner having to do with the beach? Or you could make the cupcakes ocean themed! Or something like that.
Lucas: I'm definitely going, obviously. However... the date thing is, uh, complicated.
mia: i don't know like what if she is like traumatized by being caught and then shipped off and i bring back all those memories.
mia: i really like her lucas like this is more than just prom to me :/
mia: omgosh do you think the surfboards in the garage will fit in your trunk?? I could write prom on the surfboards and get a message on the cupcakes?
mia: ummm can you uncomplicate it and explain it to me?

Lucas: It is corny, but corny is totally cute. Plus who can say now to adorable cupcakes? I doubt you have anything to worry about.
Lucas: Well, okay, do you know what kind of stuff she's into and all? Because like all the promposals I see on Twitter always incorporate inside jokes or the askee's favorite tv shows/movies. They're also always V puny too.
mia: thanks lucas...this is that girl that i have the history with...the one who used to be at that last foster home with me so it's a bit unnerving cause we left things so up in the air i don't even know if she likes me anymore...so anything to help my chances...
mia: she loves the ocean...like it is her favorite place to go and we used to spend as much time as possible there.
