BREAKING: MISSINGÂ LEA OF BRIGHT ENTâS GLORY FOUND AFTER 76 HOURS OF SPD EFFORT
After a tough 76 hours, Bright Entertainment have confirmed that GLORY leader Lea has been found and reunited with her family earlier this week. The 20-year-old was discovered after SPD received an anonymous call from a public phone by Han River in Yongsan-gu. She spent an night in hospital before her parents took her back to their home in Mapo-gu. In their statement, Bright Entertainment said she is âsafe and extremely happy to be home. She will be resting with her family until she feels ready to discuss her future with GLORY.â.Â
The SPD has, however, faced criticism lead by the families of the other two victims of the attack who are yet to be found. It is currently unknown if the protesting families intend to sue.Â

BREAKING: BRIGHT ENT GROUP GLORY'S LEA MISSING AFTER CHILDRENâS CELEBRATORY FESTIVAL
The status of GLORY member Lea is unknown as SPD and Bright Entertainment confirm the 20-year-old idol to be missing after performing at the Childrensâ Celebratory Festival earlier today. The event was one of many encouraged and coordinated by SPD Chief Choi Jiwoo and a number of SPD officers as part of a tribute to the former chief, Lee Hyori, and her promise to the youth of Seoul. Witnesses say Lea, real name Lee Ayeon, was last seen exiting the stage and having her make-up retouched backstage after the groupâs set ahead of the closing act in which she would take the stage with all guest performers.Â
In a statement released by Bright Entertainment, she is described as a âvibrant, loving leaderâ who would ânever stray from her girlsâ. It is believed that she did not leave the venue by choice.Â
SPD are calling for any witnesses who may have seen her around or after 5:30 PM. The SPDâs official statement states âShe is 161cm tall and roughly 44kg. She has long, dark brown hair and was last seen wearing a white shirt and red tennis skirt. If you have any information about her or any of the other two victims that you feel will be helpful, please call.âÂ
The remaining two victims are 21-year-old Baek Suyeon and 23-year-old Lee Kwanghyun.

Desperate to see your biases in person again? Want to help raise money for children in need and enjoy some of the top talent our city has to offer? Seoulâs first Childrenâs Celebratory Festival Saturday, July 14th, 2018!Â
Featuring performances from over thirty groups of various calibre, the long afternoon is guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience! Come along and see top groups and discover new indie artists, enjoy a bit of street food and most importantly â raise money for the youth of Seoul without even realising!Â
Merchandise and food sold at the event are unaffiliated with the organisers and proceeds may not go to charity. SPD will join our existing security team to ensure safety for all attendees and performers.Â
This is one of the many events within mi:summer !
As explained above, music event organisers have put together a music festival honouring Seoulâs youth and their everlasting love of the music industry â the Childrenâs Celebratory Festival!Â
You can write about this should you wish to starting now, but please remember that the event itself is held on Saturday, July 14th. The concert starts at 2 PM and is predicted to last to around 9 PM, however, it is possible for time to run over due coordinating, largely due to the amount of groups performing.Â
Speaking of which, in terms of groups, assume recent big names like those of SM and JYP will have performed! Itâs unlikely for veterans to make an appearance, especially given that the performances are to honour the youth (of which most idols nowadays are still!), but if you have any specific questions about this (or anything else), feel free to IM the main or Admin Woo directly!Â
Structure of the concert is as youâd expect of a K-Pop festival â title tracks, ments, collaborations! There will also be short intervals throughout, as well as street food and drinks vendors around for refreshments. The festival is in an open air arena.Â
Technically, thereâs no deadline for this, but note that a follow-up or rounding off for this event will be posted on the day itself right after our regular mi:saturday, so if you want to get involved, we recommend posting about it before then if you can!Â
Solos, threads, edits, playlists â everything is fair game!Â
We hope you enjoy this instalment of our summer event! Thank you! â„
Itâs natural that the moment the sun starts to make an extended appearance over the city, the word summer is the only whispered among citizens. Every year, a whole host of events are organised through the warmer months to keep kids and adults alike busy and off the streets; dressing as a superhero, late night dinners in museums â thereâs something for everyone. This year is no different!Â
âI wonât be at the forefront of these celebrations, but I will be allocating increased police presence to larger events, such as the upcoming music festival.â She teases with a bright grin, eyes sparkling through the press camera. âPlease enjoy your summer with no fear. The SPD are dedicated to protecting our citizens and we will stop at nothing to ensure that crime rates begin to fall from this constant rate we have been stuck at for so long. Thank you for your time.âÂ

PRESS: STATEMENT FROM SPD REGARDING CHIEF CHOI, ACTING CHIEF SON AND LOOKING FORWARDS
Following Chief Choi Jiwooâs full return to the SPD, she has released the following short statement regarding Acting Chief Son Jooheonâs ongoing recovery and the status of various cases from the past two months.Â
She states loud and clear that the Acting Chief is to âreturn incredibly slowly to work eventually, having lighter hours to not only focus on getting better, but to spend valuable time with his family following the stress of the Valentine Killer case overallâ. Itâs also revealed that he suffered a shot to the shoulder, rather than the fatal shot many rumours are claiming.Â
On the now confirmed 22 missing, Chief Choi Jiwoo says the SPD is still âworking hard to unearth the truth and find our childrenâ. Since the attack on the small music festival in Gwangjin-gu, she reveals that two other venues have been targeted and that any upcoming festivals and concerts will have increased police presence. The grand total missing is now 27.Â
Furthermore, she touches on the state of youth across the city ahead of the anniversary once again of the passing of former Chief Lee Hyori this month. With âmany vulnerable young people turning to or being forced into crimeâ, Chief Choi wants the city to âtake extra care of our youth this summerâ, with events continuing through the hottest months of the year to keep the young away from and out of gangs. Please stay tuned for more information.Â

[ +763, -564 ] all chief choi ever does is talk and organise charity events, what police work does she actually do!!
[ +678, -18 ] wow, has it already been two years since we lost chief lee? rest in peace.Â
[ +274, -183 ]Â good to see sheâs back, and finally have chief sonâs status confirmed. get well soon!!
[ +182, -47 ] wonder why it took so long for them to make a statement about the acting chief? hmm...
During the final events of the 2018 Valentineâs Killer arrest, a total of 20 young men and women were reported missing from a small music event in Gwangjin-gu. It is believed the real count is higher, however, and the SPD are still urging those who know anyone who attended to get in touch with their loved ones over a month on.Â
In a recent statement, the SPD claim that they are still doing everything they can to locate the missing attendees. They strongly believe this to be a gang-related crime. Theyâre grateful for your cooperation at this time.Â
There also has been no formal statement yet on the officer shot at the arrest of the Valentine Killer, but it is believed to be Acting Chief Son Jooheon. Keep checking here for more updates.Â

EVENT: CHIEF CHOI JIWOO TO HOLD PRESS CONFERENCE FOR VALENTINE KILLER 2018 CASE
The SPD has announced that Chief Choi Jiwoo will hold an exclusive press conference discussing the Valentine Killer 2018 case and to answer civilian and journalist questions. The event takes place in the square outside Yongsan Police Station on Thursday, February 25th at 7 PM and requires no prior agreement to attend â All are welcome to visit for any amount of time and ask questions directly to the head of the investigation and the cityâs police force. The conference is expected to last between 30 minutes and an hour.Â
Due to their wavering satisfaction rate, the SPD encourages civilians to attend to discuss their feelings concerning the case and the handling of it with present officers and during the main event. Many news stations will be covering this event, however, so if you do not feel comfortable attending, it will be available for viewing from home.Â
This is a mini event within mi:valentine18 !
As explained above, due to civilian attitudes towards the SPD fluctuating drastically and tensions in the city being high, Chief Choi Jiwoo is holding a somewhat impromptu press conference to discuss the case and answer any questions from civilians and reporters.Â
For this, we need your help! Get involved by sending us questions. These will be considered as random questions from reporters or civilians unless you state otherwise. Please send these to the main, as this is where the post will go up on Thursday night. (Keep an eye out for it!)Â
This is your chance OOC (or IC!) to get your questions (potentially) answered! Additionally, similarly to the theories mini event explained here for a special broadcast in the coming weeks, those who send questions will be entered into a random draw to take territory from another affiliation, so be sure to send in your questions!Â
The deadline for this is Thursday, February 15th at 12 PM CST, as this gives your admins plenty of time to make adjustments to the post detailing the press conference.Â
EVENT: BE PART OF OUR VALENTINE DOCUMENTARY SPECIAL BROADCAST
Are you a budding detective or journalist? Or perhaps just want to be on television? Well, we have the opportunity for you! Next month, we will be completing and airing a special documentary revolving around the cases of the Valentine Killers of 2017 and 2018 looking into the intricacies of and hearing your theories about each case!Â
Hence, we need your help! We want your stories, theories and witness statements regarding any aspect of last year or this yearâs cases. Did you visit the crime scene during the investigation? Did you know someone related to the case? Most importantly, however, what were your theories? Thereâs currently no deadline for this, so keep them coming! Feel free to submit new theories as they arise; thereâs no end to the amount of submissions you can make â we want to hear your thoughts!
A select few will be hand-picked by our producers to present their theories for our broadcast, and will receive a cash prize of 5 million won, so make sure to enter while you still can! We look forward to hearing from you!Â
This is a mini event within mi:valentine18 !
A local news station is running a special competition for Seoul citizens to submit their theories regarding last year and this yearâs Valentine Killer cases. Think those TV documentaries about serial killers of the past and more famous true crimes.Â
OOC, this event is for you to explore all your theories and see what others think of the current events in Seoul! This can be done IC or OOC, or even both, as we understand that your muses may not be as involved ( and certainly wonât know as much ) as their muns, or maybe donât enjoy the premise of the competition ( as many in Seoul will have expressed their agreement with! ). OOC âsubmissionsâ will be treated as anonymous ones IC. EDIT: you absolutely may also enter without âsubmittingâ your theory for the broadcast! Just make sure itâs clear to us admins what your intentions for it are.Â
The real prize within the RP for this event will be a territory given to your gang from another of your choosing! For example, if I or Wonwoo were to win, he may choose to take territory from the SPD, in which case an SPD territory would be chosen at random to become Vanguard owned. For those of you with multiple muses in different factions, or those unaffiliated or citizens, you may choose which to reward your prize territory to.Â
How do you âwinâ? The theory that is closest to the truth will be our winner! This doesnât necessarily mean all the finer details: just naming the correct killer or the correct cause of death before itâs declared may be enough! Remember: be realistic about what your muse will know. Only whatâs been revealed here, on the main or in their submits (or told to them by other muses) will be known IC, even if youâve personally read every submit OOC.Â
Your theories can be written in any format, even as an OOC note, and you can enter as many times as you wish. If you post another theory two days later thatâs further away, we will still count the closer towards the event, so donât worry! Please post all entries on your blogs under the tag mi:val18theory.Â
Naturally, this event ends when the killer is caught, but since we donât know when thatâll be, the deadline is currently undetermined.Â
If you have any questions, please direct them to the main or Admin Woo!
As always, this event within an event is completely optional! We wanted to give you all another way to get involved besides signing up for work, and we hope that you have fun with this should you choose to participate, and with the rest of the event! â„
BULLETIN: VALENTINE COPYCAT KILLER CASE â HEREâS WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR
With very little information from the SPD and endless rumours circulating regarding the current ongoing âValentine Copycat Killerâ case, here is a rundown of everything we know so far.Â
The first couple, confirmed to be 32-year old teacher, Shin Nahee, and her 35-year old dentist boyfriend Lee Kwangmin, were found sitting on a bench beside Han River in Yongsan-gu. The call was made at roughly 7 AM on February 8th by 54-year old Lee Sanghoon who discovered the couple on his morning jog. Itâs believed that the happy couple, having been dating three years, took frequent night walks along the river to de-stress. It is also believed that the couple were positioned postmortem.Â
Following this, a second couple were found in Seoul Forest, Seongdong-gu. The couple, now confirmed to be 38-year old Kim Minhee and her boyfriend of 8 years, 37-year old Jang Youngjin. The two are employees at H Plus Yangji Hospital, a nurse and paramedic respectively. An anonymous caller reported the bodies to the SPD at 9:05 PM on February 10th. SPD arrived on scene at 9:15 PM.
A third couple, parents of last yearâs first victim Goo Minsoo, were found in their home the morning of February 24th. Oh Hyunsoo, a 54-year old pharmacist, and Goo Seongsoo, a 56-year old bus driver, appeared on television the night before to appeal for donations to support the families of the victims through the Valentine 2017 Foundation. They were discovered by their neighbour, 47-year old Nam Hyeri, who claims they had a red thread tied between their fingers âjust like Minsooâ. The couple were strangled to death, with no signs of forced entry. They had been married 29 years.Â
As of right now, no causes of death for the first two couples have been revealed. Check here for updates as they surface.Â
ABOVE IS PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE. BELOW INFORMATION IS CURRENTLY SPD ONLY.Â
The first couple were strangled to death, with no obvious signs of a struggle.
The second couple were also strangled to death, however there were signs of a struggle. Bruises were found on Jangâs body and Kimâs arms, believed to be from the murder. Jang also had a twisted ankle. The couple were found positioned as if to be praying.Â
A hesitant lead has been âfoundâ connecting the first couple to Black Lotus and/or a drug scandal, however âconflictingâ information was recorded by Kang Gary which suggests the couple were involved with gambling.Â
Lee Hyunwoo recovered a partial print from the crime scene, on a leaflet for the Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art. A match has not yet been found, likely due to the small size of the print and lack of manpower to dedicate to less prominent leads.Â
The third couple were also strangled to death with signs of a struggle.Â
TW MURDER, DEATH
It has now been over two weeks since the first couple in the Valentine Copycat Killer case were found by Han River, and almost two since the second were found in Seoul Forest, and the SPD are yet to make an arrest. At the scene of the crime, there have been reports of injured officers, an emergency response vehicle quietly sneaking in one afternoon. It is clear, however, that the SPD are putting their full attention on the case. Sources believe leads are far and few between, however, civilian morale seems to be on the rise again despite understandable high stress.Â
Speaking to Oh Hyunsoo and Goo Seongsoo, parents of last yearâs first male victim, Goo Minsoo, his mother said, âthe SPD are doing their best. We believe that wholeheartedly. The SPD are the good guys. They brought justice to my sonâs killer, and they will bring justice to whoever is copying them.âÂ
For the first time, his father pitches in. âItâs been a tough journey since we lost Minsooâ Please stay safe, and urge your loved ones to do the same. Stay inside as much as you can, and protect one another. The SPD are working hard to solve this case; help them by making their job easier and staying safe.âÂ
At the end of the interview, Oh encouraged viewers to donate to the Valentineâs 2017 foundation to support the families of both last and this yearâs victims. When asked about yesterdayâs reveal of the second coupleâs identities, the married couple refused to comment.Â
Conversely, a young woman admitted with clear frustration, âthe SPD doesnât like sharing things with the public. Theyâre very closed off, they never want people to help in things that matter. But itâs clear they canât do it all on their own, isnât it?âÂ

TW MURDER, DEATH
After rumours surfaced recently of the identity of the male of the second couple to fall victim to the Valentine Copycat Killer, his and his girlfriendâs identities have been leaked by an anonymous source.Â
The newest victims are revealed to be Jang Youngjin, a paramedic, and his girlfriend of eight years, Kim Minhee, a nurse. The two met and remained working at H Plus Yangji Hospital until their death. Cause of death is still unknown, as SPD Chief Choi Jiwoo and Deputy Chief Ji Sukjin have insisted the SPD are withholding information for the benefit of civilian safety. In a powerful speech, Deputy Chief Ji Sukjin said, âThere are many here that feel like they canât trust the Police Department anymore, and Iâ I cannot blame you for that.â He continues, âSo today I must ask, if nothing else, only for your understanding. I wonât stand here and beg for your trust, that I will have to earn. And we will. The Police Department will work hard and earn again what we have lost.â From civilian interviews, it seems trust in the SPD this year is significantly lower than last, but with a Deputy so honest, many are changing their tune.Â
We have reached out to the families of the identified victims for comment, but one has not been made at this time.Â

BREAKING: SECOND COUPLE FOUND IN VALENTINE KILLER COPYCAT CASE
TW MURDER, DEATH, DEAD BODIES
Receiving an anonymous call at 9:05 PM, the SPD discovered two more victims at Seoul Forest just ten minutes later in a case opened by a first couple being found in the early morning of the 8th. Rumours are circulating that the male victim is a paramedic from H Plus Yangji Hospital, also rumoured to have been involved in last yearâs investigation. We reached out to the hospital for a statement, but one has not yet been made.Â
Causes of death have not yet been released for either couples, and a senior officer present refused to disclose any additional details to reporters gathering at the scene. A handful of protesters are calling for the SPD to be more transparent about the threats in the city so citizens can take better precautions to stay safe, however the SPD have not made a statement on this. Information is limited currently, but watch this space for updates.

BREAKING:Â âIâM NEVER GOING ON A MORNING JOG AGAIN,â SAYS WITNESS IN LATEST KILLER CASE
TW MURDER, DEATH, DEAD BODIES
Lee Sanghoon, 54, has been following the same route for his morning jog for over three years, he claims, but never has he seen anything like this on his journey down to Han River, Yongsan-gu.Â
âYou hear all the things on the news,â he tells local news live later in the morning, the scene of the crime wrapped in obnoxious yellow SPD tape and forensics wandering in and out of the frame behind him, âbut you donât ever think it can happen to you.â He takes a moment to breath in sharply as the embedded clip of his interview continues. âI was just doing my usual route â Iâve been jogging this route three years, you know â and I noticed something strange on my way down towards the river. There was this couple and theyâre down by the river, sitting on this bench, but theyâreâ theyâre not moving, and theyâre wearing so little layers considering winter is still at its high.â His fingers are shaking off-screen, and as he continues to talk, the video cuts to a scenic shot of the calm waters, his voice booming over the top. âNow, Iâm not one whoâs shyâ Iâll approach anyone and strike up a conversation,â itâs a claim that isnât hard to believe in the slightest, âso I went over to ask if they were okay, that they should probably get somewhere warm, and theyâreâ dead. I called the police immediately but itâs... so unbelievable. It feels like Iâm living in some nightmare.â It seems as if heâs done talking, but he sucks in another deep breath moments later. âI think what hits me hardest is that theyâd been there in plain sight, in broad daylight for who knows how long and no one noticed. Hundreds of people must have passed them before me; are we that uncaring of one another in todayâs society that we see something out of the ordinary and we simply brush it off? Because it doesnât affect us? Those are someoneâs children, siblings, niece, nephew, friendsââ An off-screen interviewer seems to suggest quietly that it may have something to do with the rising gang activity in the city and Lee groans just as quietly, pursing his lips. âBack in my day...â The short clip cuts here.Â
Details of the victims have not yet been revealed as discussions are still being held with families. In a very brief statement, a present senior officer stated they are âyoung victims who, with the mourning, deserve respect and privacy in these times.â More to follow.Â

Staff, amused, have reassured us the children will be singing more appropriately timed songs given the festive season has now passed, but fear not! There are plenty of adorable pop hits in their setlist to beat even the cuteness of their rendition of âDo You Want To Build A Snowman?â that shot them to victory! Doors open at 6 PM and the event is expected to last until 8 PM, with time after the concert for visitors to chat with staff and the stars of the show.Â
A fourth night is planned for Sunday, January 28th, to finish the series, in which homeless men, women and children in the local area will be given a home-cooked hot meal and concert, as well as a warm place to stay for the night. Invitations have been extended to families of the students only.Â
All for a good cause, the events are sure to be an adorable success, so if you have a free evening January 25th, 26th or 27th, be sure to head down, enjoy the music and make a donation to make a difference!Â
Celebrate the new calendar year under a beautiful fireworks display this New Yearâs Eve! The night begins at 10 PM, with numerous food and carnival stalls set up outside the SPD station in Yongsan, as well as a local radio station playing music all through the event should you wish to dance the night away! (Or the cold!)Â
Whether you come along to Hook-A-Duck for a plush prize or simply stay only for the display, the night is sure to be a success! Fireworks will begin at 11:50 PM and last through midnight until 12:15 AM. Children of all ages are more than welcome, but those under 10 are encouraged to wear reflective clothing for visibility. These will be available to buy on the night, as well as a large range of glowsticks and light-up items such as wands â again for children of all ages!Â
Chief Choi Jiwoo has confirmed SPD presence will be high to ensure civilian safety, though they will be enjoying the festivities like everyone else, perhaps even with their own loved ones, so try not to call on them to solve disputes over which prize to get!Â
