“Maybe they are planning on having a party soon? I mean, I’m glad the door was open. If it wasn’t, it would have definitely made it harder for us.” Juliet said quickly. Mica was definitely a very observant girl. It was funny because Juliet wouldn’t have thought so since she was blind. But the other senses Mica had seemed to heighten. Juliet would have to make note of that in the future.
Juliet let Mica take her arm as they walked into the bar. Juliet noticed a guy mopping the floors. There was dried up blood on the tile. Juliet’s eyes widened and she paused in her step as the guy glanced up and stared at her.
“Hey… how did you two get in here?” He demanded.
“The door was open…” Juliet muttered. “I was hoping I could talk to someone that was here last night?” She pursed her lips. “I just… I have a question and it can’t wait.”
“The bartenders should be showing up soon. You can ask them.” The guy said before he continued mopping.
The sudden voice of a stranger caused Mica to jump slightly, the voice not particularly friendly. A security presence was severely lacking since the man didn’t react to the front doors to the establishment being unlocked. Odd, but from the sound of it being pushed around by the mop and the motion that the shape of his aura was making, she figured he was part of the cleaning crew. So with that observation in account, it wasn’t very odd.
Lady, on the other hand, wanted to do quite a bit of investigating. The German Shepherd had caught the scent of blood. Her nose was to the ground and she went right to the bit of dry blood that was on the tile, not yet cleaned up.
“Lady.” Mica tried to get the dog back to her side, even ordered her to heel, but the canine refused to listen. “Sorry. Normally she listens better. Are you cleaning up food or something?” she asked, not quite sure why Lady was acting this way. Never before had she fought her to sniff something. She was definitely an escape artist some times, but this normally didn’t happen.
