A new Castlevania game has been announced!!

Does this mean Sonia is being re-established as Trevor's daughter instead of his mother?😅

In older backstories, Trevor and Sypha were said to have two daughters, so it's possible they're merging that element here.

Also, something that caught my attention is the move in Japan to unify the series name with the international "Castlevania" for the first time in 24 years.

The very first post on the newly created Japanese X official account for this new game states: "To commemorate Castlevania's 40th anniversary, we have renewed the portal site and also opened an official X account." There is no mention of "Akumajō Dracula/悪魔城ドラキュラ", and both the official X account and the portal site are now unified under "Castlevania."

During the LoS series, it was Trevor in Japan too, but back then it was understood because it was made by an overseas development studio. This new title is the same situation, though...

It's quite the opposite of how Megaman has always been Rockman in Japan, and how Dr. Robotnik was unified as Dr. Eggman😅

I messed up...

I hadn't noticed until now that the setting of the LoS series, at least up until MoF, was described as somewhere in medieval Europe, not somewhere in medieval Romania.

So, I made some slight changes to their outfits and removed the embroidery brush.

I should have noticed when I saw Marie and Sypha's dresses...

To be honest, I never really placed much importance on historical accuracy to begin with, and that's still the case after the revisions...

But I think simple village girl clothes are nice too.

...And after doing all this, I realized that the Mountain People were described as a Wallachian tribe.

I guess this is fine now...I ended up changing the color of the skirt, though...

Also, I increased LoS Selena's height by 2cm.

Selena should be a character from an era when exposing women's legs was taboo, so that costume on the North American flyer likely doesn't match the historical accuracy.
