Fun, not what you think, what we dream, jokes, life is cry or fun.
A woman is center stage in a room full of onlookers, twisting and contorting slowly on her knees as a gold bottle pours slippery liquid over her bare body. She collects a handful of marbles from the floor and showers herself in them.

Alien inspires me everyday. From the first phone call in 2003 I made to him about the draw-a-thon to today....I learned to believe in the power of making art and supporting others making their art. We must continue Aliens vision as an artistic revolution. Make some art! Without fear. I heart Aliens.
Meeting Alien by Brooke
I met Michael many years ago at the big-ass Kinko's at Astor Place. He noticed I was an artist because of some copying I was doing of my drawings. He gave me a card to his draw-a-thon. I went and enjoyed the experience. He was doing great things for us artists creating this community. I kept running into the Alien living in and loving Bushwick. I had to see his work and asked to come to his studio. He graciously accommodated my request and that is where the love affair started. I own 4, in my opinion, of his very best pieces. He honors me with the release of each of these beautiful works into my care. They will never leave me until I leave directions upon my passing as to who gets the privilege of caring for them next. As an artist doing the type of work I do and coming from where I come his pieces inspire me every time I see them. Thank for doing your heart's work Michael Alien. We who see it learn more about ourselves. Greatness lives in you and speaks through the mediums you sling. Xo Brooke Churchill

"Live all day, live all night, in dreams find life"
Welcome Aliens!
Michael Alan, wild artist and native NYC wild child, has been a revolutionary activist/musician/draftsman in the art scene for quite some time. Alan has been featured in over 200 publications, books, and media sources, including The New York Times, Art 21, Bomb, Vice, The New York Post, NBC's Today Show, Fox Channel 5, The Huffington Post, the Village Voice's "Best in Show", Time Out New York, and Marie Claire Italia.
From line drawings to paintings, performances to sculpture, music to original screen-print shirts and old fashioned hand burned albums, Alan's observations and experiences have inspired his 100% hand-made works. In order to fully appreciate the disparate nature of Alan's creations, one must have firsthand insight into the artist dubbed Alien.
Alan recently suffered head trauma from an accident that impedes his memory. In the spirit of Alan's beliefs supporters of Alan have come together to create a place that documents the life and times of our favorite Alien.
Much like the live performances coined Living Installations, this blog will become a living and breathing organism of interactive creation. Posts will consist of art, music, memories, friends, upcoming events, and some interesting finds along the way.
All friends and fans are encouraged to contribute articles and writings for our editor's review.
Peace!
