Book after Camera Lucida?
I would probably read Susan Sontag’s On Photography just to get more understandings on photography, since I have no background for photography. And On Photography according to Wikipedia, was one of the most important early academic books of criticism and theorization on photography, so it would be interesting to read another on photography.

History
Camera Lucida Section 14-24
Each photograph has its own definition for each one of us. By looking at the picture, it draws our memories from the past that relate to the picture.
Camera Lucida p103-119
"a genetic feature, the fragment of oneself or of a relative which comes from some ancestor" (103)
It is interesting to see that ancestors usually sit really straight and pose for the camera, which nowadays we don't do that anymore. When we take pictures we pose differently because our camera compared to theirs is far more advanced.
Camera Lucida Part 2
Although I don't really understand the meanings of stadium and punctum, it is interesting to me that a photograph can capture the past and the incoming future that we could basically predict. For example, the photo with the quote "he is dead and he is going to die" shows us that a simple photo can be easily determined that it has some sort of depressing element. He said even stated that "each photograph always contains this imperious sign of my future death", but also in each photograph there is always an "excited world of the living, and challenges in each of us."

1. It was a happy field trip
2. But suddenly there is a storm the plane is about to crash into
3. We successfully landed, but we have no idea where we are
4. So we become explorers to explore the surroundings around us
5. We traveled possibly about a thousand miles
6. Through deserts
7. Through water
8. Through mountains
9. And we finally got into a city
10. And now we are all home safe and sound
