Javadi x mckay is nowhere near the same as javadi x Robby (this is coming up because I saw a comment that said they were basically the same)
And no the difference is not Yuri (although that does provide a big part)
TLDR - gender is an important thing that shows their outlook on life, the age gap is bad cause 2x is bad but 2.5x is worse (both are horrible cause sheâs 20), Robby respects Victoria as a lesser and Cassie respects her as an equal which is also slightly contributed by their power different as attending and resident, Robbyâs mental status is horrendous and he barely works on it whereas Cassie has been working on hers for years
Now letâs go through the basics of the characters
Victoria javadi - 21 (in 10 days), med student, mothers a surgeon
Cassie McKay - 42, has a son, recovering addict, resident
Michael Robinavitch - 50 something, desperately needs therapy, likely suicidal, has a stepson (not anymore)
Now for Victoria the stuff is pretty much the same but Cassie and Michael itâs much different so letâs talk about them (Iâll add punctuation later donât rush me Katie)
For starters gender plays a big part in this which we can also tell from incel kid and how differently they reacted due to general experiences and knowledge (this talks about them as people and not partners)
Next the age (age gap was part of the comment convo) twice the age is definitely a bad sign though that is better than 2.5x the age but both are definitely seriously bad cause sheâs not even legal (drink wise)
Another thing is respect and power while Robby does respect Victoria itâs very different than how Cassie respects Victoria and a portion of that is definitely their power see Robby respects everyone in that hospital (except Dana) as his lessers (including Gloria because she cares less about patients and Baran because she doesnât understand the Pitt dynamic) whereas Cassie sees everything as a learning experience (partially cause sheâs a resident) and Victoria is very smart for her age but lacks in some areas so sheâs someone to learn from and mold to be better than all of them
Last but not least mental status Robby isnât ready for a relationship with anyone let alone a 20 year old who has been brutally yeeted from her own age group and dropped into a world of adults at the age of 13 and Cassie is actually working on herself to be better and she has been for years
Now this is all I am going to bring up cause these are the most important points that prove Robby and Cassie are different people in general and in relationshipsđ
