Backlight not working on Acer Aspire 3820T

The backlight stopped working accidentally during recovery from sleep. It did not work even after the reboot. It was possible to see at least something with flashlight! So it was clear that the LED backlight was the problem.

I was able to repair the problem at least temporarily using this approach: - download Service Manual for Acer Aspire 3820T http://download.ccpowered.de/3820TG_Service_Manual.pdf

- follow the instructions in the Service Manual for Dissassembly LCD Module

Making the flex less sharp.

Update: It lasted for 1 day only. I therefore tried to make it more subtle and meda a small plastic box around - the plastic cover of the screen cannot closed properly now, but there should not be any press on the wire.

Root Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 S6500D and Escape cwm Boot Loop after Upgrade

To root my Samsung Mini 2 S6500D, I have used the 2nd method from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1719699

I got into cwm boot loop after accidental upgrade from within Android. I solve it after too many other trials using this method: http://www.teamandroid.com/2013/01/10/update-galaxy-mini-2-s6500d-xxlk2-android-236-official-firmware/2/ with Odin3

Other tips:

The xyz.tar.md5 file cannot have " " (space) in its name, otherwise it fails on md5 checksum error.

I was able to use adb when in cwm recovery (able to send linux commands this way)

Holding Up+Down+Home+Power goes into recovery.

Holding Down+Home+Power goes into download(for Odin connection)

For Odin download of xyz.tar.md5 use "PDA".

after install of cwm - make backup!

Router for Ubuntu

If you have WL-500G Premium, use correct AC/DC adapter! I wa trying several resets of "bricked" router and finally realised that adapter from WL-500G Premium v2 was to blame (too weak). All leds on = too weak electric current.

Setting Internet (router) -> laptop over wifi -> router over cable -> LAN (cable, wifi) may be done using http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1786726

To get router from the Repeater mode, reset it by Reset (hardware) key and restart the router.

Changing selection list has not worked properly in jQuery, I had to use:

Cron php into file on Ubuntu

When I want to set up cron, I need:

crontab -e

and set up the cron, e.g.

*/20 * * * * /usr/bin/php /var/www/test.kohovolit.sk/m/blog-idnes/download.php >> /var/www/test.kohovolit.sk/m/blog-idnes/data.csv

The API and plug-in architectures are the highest priority. Another way of putting that is: never build anything in-house if you can expose a basic API and get those high-value users (the ones who are getting the most value out of the platform) to build it for you. On the Trello team, any feature that can be provided by a plug-in must be provided by a plug-in.
