I just had an epiphany of sorts. I've jumped down the genealogy rabbit hole again and again I found myself on FindAGrave trying to... well... find a grave. I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned this but you could easily use this as a devotional tool.

You can leave virtual flowers for people

You can be a volunteer and take photos of graves

You can geo-tag graves

You can help transcribe headstones

You can help find plot numbers

You can add memorials for people who aren't on the site

Because it's virtual

You can still be "there" for the deceased

You can help with record keeping

You can be lowkey about your practice

It's free to do. Most cemeteries have an online lookup with plot numbers. You can pick a local cemetery or one that a loved one is buried at.

I fully intended on doing the Astro calendars but I got caught up with the holidays and then a friend passed away on Sunday. I’m pretty out of it. First time I’ve ever had to deal with the death of a friend and someone in my age group. The concept of mortality is always a struggle but it’s hitting a little too hard this time.

it’s that time of year again

I had my technically first actually market since last year and hooo. It was rough but only because it almost hit 100 yesterday. I had the baby with me and she was getting pretty flushed only 2 hours in, so my husband had to pick her up and take her back to work with him.

I kinda like doing in person markets but at the same time, hauling a tent and tables and displays is rough regardless of the weather and now that there’s a baby in the mix it’s even harder. It’s hot in Texas for a minimum of 5 months so while I used to do markets several times a month I just don’t think that’s realistic anymore.

We also have an issue where even though it’s hot as fuck half the year there’s barely any indoor markets. Also fun fact, while pregnant I barely struggled with POTS if at all, but now it’s most definitely an issue, so if I don’t have to be out in the heat I’d rather not lol.

The stores I used to consign in have gone out of business too so :/

Um it's so much worse. The amount of people experiencing religious psychosis is... concerning. Apparently people are believing that one dude is going to get resurrected Wednesday and that the rapture will begin. There's people literally leaving instructions and detailing how they're getting ready for the rapture. I'm not sure how we got here but uhhhh.

I know there's people saying there's a yearly rapture hype every year but hooo boy. The internet's echo chambers are only getting worse and more divided so I do worry.

Bruh. February of 24 is when I found out I was pregnant and yeah. It’s been a ride. People minimize you and suddenly you stop being a person and people struggle to see you as more than just a mom. And then all the physical complications. And the recovery. And more social shenanigans. But it does feel like I’m finding center again.

young people literally spent two days showing the full force of their wrath against a horrific, corrupt system run by politicians that embezzled away every single cent of citizen money. they protested, and when the cops turned to violence, they did too. many of the biggest and most corrupt politicians (including the prime minister) were forced to resign, had their houses swarmed by crowds of furious people, were beat within an inch of their lives, and had their money thrown out onto the streets.

real, actual change is on the way in a country plagued by exploitation and poverty and corruption for DECADES because the population rallied together behind the sheer force of the young population and their anger - so much so that it’s being called the gen z revolution. THIS is how revolutions come about when every attempt to use peaceful means is met with bullets and suppression and social media bans in an effort to shut people up. and i think the west has a lot to learn about what true revolution and true progression is, because the way that our political discourse is so weak and watered down and pushed to be ‘friendly’ and ‘understanding’ is so pathetic at times. THERE IS NO NEGOTIATING WITH YOUR OPPRESSORS.
