He had held up his end of the little bargain that she had put forth, as much as she hated that fact, but damn if his lips didn’t taste extra delicious against her tongue.  It did leave her reeling and wanting more but she had to prove to him that she could stay true to her word and convictions, and it’s not like she had the right anymore to snap her bracelet on his wrist and keep him for the night - no matter how much she wanted to.  She sighed as she brought the bracelet between them to look at it, imagining just how nice it would look on his wrist knowing that he was claimed to her, but she wouldn’t - he needed to trust her.  "It’s going to kill me to see someone else claim you before the nights over,“ she admitted as her tongue ran over her bottom lip trying to savor any lasting taste of him that she could, "I guess i’ll let you get back to the party then.”  Not that she wanted to but he had no interest in her tonight, not that it was different than any other night, “you’re free to go.”  She hated saying the words, even going as far as to look away not wanting to actually see him leave.  How she was so unbelievably weak for this man she’d never understand.

Mickey’s eyes narrowed as he watched her expressions trying to figure out what was going on in her head. He was hoping that kiss alone was enough to relieve him from this uncomfortable situation, guilt still coiled in his stomach by just being near her. He couldn’t imagine spending the night with her. Plus her request or demand for that matter, had been simple enough, not one he felt he should risk anything by not fulfilling. Had she asked for something different he would have worked harder to get out of it, and in the future if that was ever the case, he would try harder to escape it. His brows raised as she spoke, a slight weight lifting from his shoulders hearing her. “Enjoy the rest of your night, Kalina,” he offered, the slightest hint of a smile tugging at his lips, happy to have been dismissed without too much damage.

“Not at all negative, no worries,” he offered the guy with a grin, it was true that he was utterly adorable, and the way his damn face lit up as he mentally was taking notes from Elias’s little lesson of beach sex?  He could only laugh and shake his head, wishing he wasn’t a complete dork for once - not that this other male seemed to mind so that was at least a good thing.  "You just don’t take me as the freak kind of guy, I don’t know, maybe that’s what makes it all the better though?  You’d never expect it so it’s ten times wilder when it happens?“  He just looked to put together to be someone who liked to get wild, "it wouldn’t be too hard to find out, well depending on your interests.  You’ll be able to be read like a book soon enough, Chief.”  He teased offering him a quick playful nudge.

“Then I will find some way to carry on,” he teased with a grin of his own stretching over his features. Mickey was thankful for this seemingly normal conversation, it was helping to ease him along with the alcohol. “I’m not the kinkiest guy in the world that’s for sure, but I wouldn’t say I’m one hundred percent vanilla,” Mickey offered with a laugh falling from him. “Well for years I’ve prided myself on my buttoned-up self, though maybe this place will be my unraveling.”

“i’m trying to.” she said honestly. the reason she had so much to drink was because she could never get loose enough to ACTUALLY have fun. she was always on her toes, always thinking about the consequences. but not tonight, obviously. “thanks.” she mumbled when he took a hold of her, her green eyes almost glistening as she laughed. “i’m jessica, nice to meet you. are you an asset or a master?”

“I guess that’s all anyone can ask of you,” he replied with a soft chuckle escaping him. He understood that everyone had their own interests and things, for all he knew this mixer could be everything the woman hated. “you’re welcome,” he added with a smile, making sure she was steadied. “Nice to meed you, Jessica. I’m Mickey, an asset.”

After changing into one of the outfits that were provided to her she wondered if coming here had really been the best decision but oh well there was no turning back now and she was sure she’ll get over it soon enough. Besides it wasn’t like she was ashamed of her body of anything so she took a breath and smiled when she saw someone coming closer, “Hey…can I help you with anything?”

Mickey was glad this mixer was happening now, especially since he himself had just arrived on the island and it gave him extra time to adjust to his new situation. Now he was just roaming about throughout the area just trying to soak up as much fresh air as he possibly could. “Unless you’re hiding a flask somewhere on your person, I don’t think so,” he said with a small chuckle, “I’m heading to the bar would you like to join me?” Another thing he was hoping to use up, the privilege of being able to order liquor himself and not having to ask a master or mistress to get it for him.

She half expected him to try to continue weaseling his way out of it - was she really that bad that the thought of kissing her repulsed him?  She thought she was beautiful, had never had complaints from anyone, and yet it was as though he refused to touch her with even a ten foot pool.  She didn’t get it, but all those thoughts seemed to wash away as soon as he pulled her close to him and cupped her cheek.  Kalina instinctively nuzzled into the touch having wanted this for so long.  She knew it wouldn’t last long, it would more than likely be just some peck and bargain fulfilled.  The kiss, her heart about leaped into her throat as she barely had time to even react before he was pulling away, her eyes fluttering shut as she tried to fix herself up a little.  Holy fucking shit, “extremely.”  Her answer was brisk because for the moment she couldn’t think of anything but his lips on hers, finally getting that small opportunity, “wasn’t so hard now was it?”  She chuckled, trying to make light of the fact that he’d finally broke enough to give in - just a fraction of course but enough to satisfy her, for now.  "Sad thing is now I want more,“ she pouted out.

As much as Mickey wished he could find a way out of having to kiss her, he knew that if he obliged there was a slim chance she would up and walk away right after, having finally gotten a semblance of what she seemed to have wanted for a while. Off the island Mickey had been so unbelievably driven toward one goal, something that he would have never achieved if he had gotten close to the woman. Keeping said goal in mind it was easy to deny her advances seeing as though beautiful women and men were everywhere and so far in his life he hadn’t had a hard time finding one or two to spend time with. He prayed to whatever god or lack there of, that was up there, that this would get him off the hook, that she would move on and leave him to his thoughts and the guilt that settled in his stomach from their interaction. Mickey straightened his posture and crossed his arms over his chest creating even more distance between them. “Pity,” was all that fell from his lips, not granting her any satisfaction that might come from a longer reply.

Like, ‘hey, get your pants off, I bet you have a cute ass,’ sort of thing.” Edward gave a cheeky grin, and a wiggle of his eyebrows. “I don’t understand people when they get picky. Like, why not go for both? For everyone? Everyone here is so attractive, y’know?” he shrugged his shoulders. “Don’t drink too much. You don’t want to be carried back to your room, do ya?”

“Usually I’m a passive flirter, though who knows, perhaps with the amount of liquor in me tonight I’ll be as forward as you,” Mickey replied with a smirk of his own and a soft chuckle. “Prior to being here? I was very picky, not by gender, I’m open to any and all, though I was picky based on anything else. But everyone here is really attractive, so maybe that picky streak will end for me,” he answered with a nod. “I’m unsure about that, I’ll keep you updated.”

If he couldn’t grant her this one small request how could she expect him to do more for her later on?  She let out a groan, “love, I don’t like to be kept waiting.  I gave you an order and I suggest you follow through with it.  If you don’t,” Kalina showed off the bracelet that she could give to any asset, “your night at this party is officially over and i’ll have you escorted to my cabin.”  Not that she had planned on using her bracelet in such a way, but if he weren’t going to comply she would hack his fun right to bits and get it out of him one way or another.  "What’s a mere kiss worth to you, love?“

The irony was certainly not lost on Mickey seeing as he’d spent so much time denying this particular woman’s advances only to now be at her mercy, though he knew mercy was not a part of her vocabulary. Again his eyes narrowed, internally weighing his options, of course he could just do as he was told and get it over with and hopefully move on, or the bracelet could do it for him. Though he didn’t necessarily trust she wouldn’t do it anyway. After a moment he thought, what did he have to lose. Mickey reached out and took her hand, gently tugging her towards him, his free hand moving up to cup her cheek as the distance between them was closed again before pressing his lips against hers, finally giving her what she wanted. A moment later he pulled away, dropping his hands to create space between them once more. “Happy?” he asked simply raising a brow.

livia hadn’t felt this free in a long time… and perhaps that caused her crash. so captured by the music, intoxicated by others’ movements… almost like home. a certain comfort, yet at the same time foreboding, but she didn’t want to ruin her’s or anyone else’s nights, so she dismissed any hypothesis. she’d deal with them later. she smiled as male arms caught her, aiding her balance until she shifted backwards. “mickey! hey!” the blonde laughed. “good! i’m fine. forgot how crazy dance floors could get.”

Mickey was thankful for this mixer, it was proving to help him shift more comfortably into his new situation. He was seeing everyone with less inhibition and that was giving him a better insight as to who they were, which he was always happy about. “I’m glad to see you’re having a good time, Yeah these small dance floors always seemed to be boobytrapped, hence why I usually stay away from them,” he added with a chuckle.

it was an unfamiliar face she was greeted with and it wasn’t the first one she’d seen today. honestly, she was ecstatic they were allowed to meet eros like this first, allowed to freely roam arund the beautiful paradise it was before they were all back in the hub, waiting for someone to invite them outside. it seemed like a nice start. his answer ripped her out of her thoughts and she smiled: “ i like that thought, “ she replied, “ let’s be honest, it wouldn’t be as much fun without us anyway, so it’s probably better that way. “ 

Mickey did worry time would especially drag in the Hub now that he’d experienced the open fresh air. He attempted to push that thought aside in order to enjoy the time he had now. Mickey thought himself lucky he’d arrived the day earlier and now was getting free time people who had been here much longer were just getting. “I’m inclined to agree, I’m sure it’s a lot more fun with us than without us. I’m Mickey by the way.”

“If it fits though,” he teased but still could see where adorable could have been a little juvenile, “fine, should I up the compliment to something a little more adult?”  Not that he would, it was entirely true that the asset beside him was downright adorable - Elias saw nothing wrong with that.  He did let out a soft snarl as he looked down towards his wrists, remembering the all too vivid memories including rope burns of his own.  They fucking hurt like hell, but the aftercare was nice as his suitor would pepper kisses over the raw flesh.  "At least you’re not as vanilla as you came off two minutes ago, there still might be some hope for you,“ being entirely playful now not meaning any hard in anything that he was saying Eli was just having fun.  He just hoped the other wouldn’t take offense to anything, "fake it ‘til you make it around here.  If you can’t keep up slow the pace, they’re easy enough to distract for a little while…”

“Eh, I think I can handle the whole being adorable thing. I’ll take any compliment as long as it’s not back handed? So unless you meant it negatively, I’ll embrace it with open arms,” Mickey shrugged his shoulders, nothing wrong with the statement, he’d live. “Where’s all the fun in splaying out all my cards for you or anyone off the cuff? Gentleman on the streets, freak in the sheets, maybe? I guess the world may never know,” he added with a soft laugh. “I’m sure I’ll manage, I’d like to say I’m pretty adaptable.”

“Hell, you can flirt with me too, I’m not one to deny anyone else any fun,” Mickey answered with a chuckle. “Who has time to be picky on this island, right? I don’t blame you, I’m trying to down as much liquor as my body will allow me while I still have the chance to get it myself.”

Her heart about fluttered to a halt when Kalina heard him say the words, nerves tightening in her stomach as she looked at him, and all she could do in that moment was take it all in - the most devious of smiles playing across her lips.  "Tell me,“ she spoke softly considering how close she was forcing them to be, "how does a man go from being damn near the top of the food chain, beneath my father of course, to an asset on some secretive sex resort?  Not that i’m complaining,” she took a step back to take him all in once more and looked into his eyes.  "Kiss me Mickey.“

At this point Mickey was standing as straight and as tall as he could manage, hanging onto as much pride as he could muster. His eyes narrowed as she questioned him, forcing his expression to stay neutral. “Who knows, a change in scenery, perhaps?” He hummed, there was no way in hell he’d share with anyone on this island why he was here, let alone her. A small smile broke onto his lips, a chuckle falling as well still standing in his spot, not moving toward her to comply, “My my, you never did understand the virtue of patience, I can see that hasn’t changed.”

He gave a cheeky grin as he pushed his fingers through his hair to straighten it out, “Then again, there’s free alcohol here tonight, and a bonfire, and a freedom I’m not given often, so maybe you need to make it worth wild.”

Mickey’s brow quirked hearing the words falling from the other’s lips, a small chuckle falling from his in return. “Since this is some freedom I’m not given often either, I’ll say you should make your own time out tonight worth your own while. Or you could flirt with some master or mistress in hopes to extend this freedom for you.”

at first, livia was hesitant to dance. club dancing didn’t really fit her personality here. however, the more she watched the others and allowed the music to course through her veins, the more she wanted to rise and join them. after about a half hour of internal debate, she finally decided to screw it and join them. her first few moves were awkward and hesitant did she know how to dance like this? but after a few minutes, she finally loosened up, allowing her entire to have a fluidity no one had been privy to before: moves that showed off her frame and accentuated her curves. it was only when she went to twirl that she forgot that social dance floors were small and sometimes treacherous. half way around, her back knew a collision was going to happen, but by that time, she had too much momentum to even think of stopping. a fraction of a second later, her petite frame collided with someone, their bodies nearly touching as livia forced her body to stop moving as her toes hit releve, her tensed calf muscles stopping any more progression forward. “oh my god! i’m so sorry! are you okay?” she squeaked, eyes wide.

Usually Mickey was an observer, only attempting to pull the spotlight on him in settings where he felt comfortable and in control. Here on this island, he felt neither, so tonight he was observing. Though with a few drinks in his system now, he was starting to loosen up. First his fingers started tapping against the bar to the rhythm, and then his foot started to keep time. For a bit he stayed like that, minimal movements, just letting that comfortable feeling spread through him. After a while he figured it wouldn’t kill him to join in on the dancing so he pushed off from the bar and headed to the dance floor. Within a moment his body collided with another, his hands reaching out grab the smaller frame’s arms to help steady her as the collision hadn’t hurt his balance at all. “Yeah, don’t worry, I’m fine. How about you?”

He found it hilarious that the other was actually listening and taking his advice.  "You’re adorable,“ it was the truth though, like the man looked well enough put together Elias would never think that he didn’t have all the answers in the world.  "No, of course knot,” he nudged the other hoping he’d get the little play on words, “it’s good knowing how to tie a slip knot, you’d be surprised how often they come into play.  Please tell me you’ve tied someone up before, or have at least been tied up yourself?”  He let out a heavy sigh of relief knowing that at least the other was covered, it would break his damn heart if someone denied themselves the carnal pleasure of sex just because of work and other obligations.  "Couple of months, not too long,“ sometimes it felt like years while others it felt like days, Elias had a hard time keeping track of it most of the time.  "I swear, it’s not all that bad, so long as you can keep up with the ones calling the shots.”

Mickey’s brows raised as the other called him adorable, huffing out a laugh, “I don’t think I’ve been called adorable since I was fifteen maybe?” A smile tugged at the corner of his lips hearing the pun come from the other man. “Fair enough, I do personally know how a slip knot can come into play, guess my knot badge is the one most useful throughout my life,” he joked, “both actually, I’ve had my fair share of slight rope burn as well as those I’ve given it to.” He’d been more sexually adventurous when he was younger, not that he was old now, just as he began to climb the corporate ladder, that same adventurous attitude drifted from him. “I think I can keep up with the shot callers, or at least I can do my best. Hopefully I won’t cause too much trouble.”
