➢ Gɪʏᴜᴜ
Giyuu was sitting on the engawa, relaxing and sipping on his tea. It was raining, and he really needed a day filled with calmness. Although, the moment of serenity was disturbed by you sneaking up behind him. You weren't unwelcome. In fact, he's been waiting for your company to join him.
He preferred you to be on his side, even if the silence fades into your mindless, random chattering about everything and anything, letting him absorb every single information you have to spill to him without complaints. Listening to you go on and on about anything was one of the most interesting things in his everyday routine.
Watching the rain and cuddling up against each other on the engawa is one of the things the two of you do a lot, only when it rains of course. Both of you enjoy the soothing sounds of raindrops hitting the ground and the roof, the wet smell in the wind, and the slight coldness it brings. The best way to warm up? Cuddling!
Sorry, I really associate giyuu with rain.
Giyuu expected you to sit down beside him and immediately snuggle against him, but you walked and stopped before him. Facing him, you gave him a smile, a mischievous glint in your eyes that he immediately noticed right away.
Putting down his cup of tea, he looked up at you with a curious gaze, a brow slightly twitched upwards. He doesn't say a word, but you could sense that he's a bit amused at your sudden move. Then, you sat on his lap, straddling him and wrapping your arms around his neck with a grin on your face.
Giyuu let out a small surprised noise at the back of his throat. It's not like the first time you decided to sit on his lap, it was just unexpected because when it rained, you usually just hugged him on his side while watching the rain go on.
But if you did this just to get closer to him then he didn't mind, he could feel more of your warmth pressing against his body this way. When he's past his shock, he wrapped his arms around you with no hesitation, burying his face in your chest. He felt your body shake a little, giggling at his cuteness.
Curious, he asked; "Is something the matter?" While it's probably nothing too serious or of importance lies, everything you say is important to him, it's unusual of you to suddenly sit on his lap, on a rainy day. He hummed in satisfaction when he felt your fingers stroking his hair and massaging his scalp.
With a giggle, you whispered; "Nothin', I just wanted to sit on top of my world." In a teasing manner. Oh dear, he's at your mercy at this point. Giyuu blinks at you for a few moments, just holding you close to him. When he finally processed your worlds, he felt light.
Your world... Oh gods, you love him that much? Enough to call him your world? It immediately becomes his favorite pet name from you. It sounds so sweet and heavenly coming from your voice, and hearing it makes his heart explode.
He shook slightly against you, burying his face back on your chest and hiding his red face from you. You couldn't help but laugh at his reaction, cooing at his adorableness and stroking his hair. "You okay?" You teasingly asked to which he nodded, mumbling "Let's just cuddle a bit more," Against your skin.
➢ Kʏᴏᴊᴜʀᴏ
Kyojuro was just on his usual patrol, walking through a small city where you were shopping. The sun was setting and you were about to make your way home when you spotted him, talking to one of the vendors selling him multiple bento boxes for his nightly duties.
You were delighted that he was there, meaning you can walk home together. You just hoped he hid his sword as you advised him to since he's patroling in a much more urban area. Nevertheless, you made it your mission to sneak up behind him and surprise him!
Well, he'll probably sense you following him and glance behind him to see it's you, but what got you grinning mischievously is that he wouldn't be able to guess what you're planning inside your head. You also used the fact that it's pretty crowded, so you hoped his sense was a bit distracted.
Once he walked over to a much more secluded part of the city, you pounced on him, wrapping your legs around his waist and your arms around his neck, falling into fits of giggles.
He knew that you were aware that he knew you were following him, and you didn't care, continuing on with your plan. Thinking it'd be much more fun, he exclaimed; "My, Y/n! What a surprise, I thought you were a demon!" You just rolled your eyes, grinning ear to ear as he grabbed hold of your thighs for support.
Planting a small, quick kiss on his cheek, his hair tickling your skin as you clung to his back. When he's sure you're all secured and won't fall off from him, he smiled and asked what's the meaning of this, tilting his head to the side a bit.
Kyojuro doesn't mind you running up to him and jumping at him suddenly. He's rather endeared that you trust him so much that you don't even think twice about your rash decision. Kyojuro makes sure he'll never let you fall and that he'd always catch you! Plus, he loves your tendency to be unexpected at times. Although, he's curious as to why you suddenly jumped at him, in the middle of his patrol!
You just giggled again and then shouted enthusiastically; "I'm sitting on top of my world!" with your fist up high in the air. Kyojuro stopped his tracks as his grin widened even more at your words. He felt his face heat up as he let out a wholehearted laugh, overjoyed.
Your world, huh? He's so honored! His heart soared as he laughed along with you, more flustered than he anticipated. Yep, he absolutely adores your unexpectedness! He found himself carrying you in his arms or offering you piggyback rides more often, your words carving themselves in his head.
Honestly, whenever it pops up in his head while in the middle of a mission, his fire sparks even more and encourages him to fight harder!
➢ Oʙᴀɴᴀɪ
Obanai was just training outside your estate. The sun was setting and it'll be another hour before he settles for the night since it was one of his days off. He practically feel you staring at his back while he slashed his blade in the air, panting lightly and wiping his sweat a bit. He didn't call you out, you're probably already are that he knows you're watching him.
It's not like you always did, but you always give him a new roll of bandages, a clean towel, and food for both him and Kaburamaru after training, so he's curious when he managed to steal a glance at you and see you're there empty-handed.
Then it occurred to him that you're an hour early than your usual cue to go over and dote on him. Now that certainly piques his interest, just what were you planning? When Kaburamaru hissed in his ear, a message saying that you're making a move towards him, he lowered his sword and sheathed it, evening his breathing and tugging on his drenched bandages.
He expected that something was wrong because it wasn't usual of you to step in the middle of his training, so he closed his eyes and waited for your explanation in silence. To others, it may seem he's ignoring you, but after spending so much time with Obanai, the moment he sheathed his sword was an acknowledgment of your sudden intrusion, and the calm look on his face indicated that he isn't upset at all.
But when all he heard was a small 'pardon me' from you and suddenly pressed your body against his back, lifting yourself up and putting weight on him, then wrapped your arms and legs around him, he lost his balance for a bit from shock. He immediately grabbed hold of your thighs and frowned against his bandages.
Now, he didn't mind this at all, especially since you're at his estate and not some public space, Kaburamaru seemed to enjoy your closeness too but he's covered in sweat! He doesn't want to dirty your clothing and bother you with his sticky skin. But you didn't seem to mind, smiling fondly at him as you pushed back his hair, laying your chin on his shoulder.
"What are you doing?" He inquired, turning his head to face your slightly mischievous expression, planting a small kiss on his neck, ignoring the sweat. He shuddered, his heart suddenly beating fast once more. Obanai was honestly lovestruck with you at the moment, especially with the fact that he's sweaty from training, you did not care one bit and chose to hug him. It made his face hot.
Then, you mumbled, "I'm sitting on top of my world, of course." There was a slightly teasing tone in your voice, smiling against his neck. His face, as you expected, turned red, and the grip on your thighs tightened when he was at a loss for words. You laughed at his expression, grinning ear to ear as you plant a kiss on his temple.
Internally, he's freaking out. Obanai was never the one to be possessive over his lovers, their freedom was just as important as his, but when you claim that he's yours? Your world? He felt his stutter and he almost fell to his knees, suddenly growing weak.
He changes the subject, pointing out the fact that you're now also covered with his sweat, scolding you halfheartedly for suddenly clinging onto him while training. He averted his eyes from you, but you could practically hear his heart beating so damn hard. He's just too damn cute!
"Oh?" You raise a brow, pretending to examine your slightly drenched kimono, "Then let's take a shower together." You teasingly suggested. He almost dropped you.
