L'arte, il vino e le noccioline

Attivare le coscienze, portare la realtà all’interno della pratica artistica ed abbattere le barriere delle consuetudini è stata una prerogativa di molti artisti dagli anni ’50 in poi. Dai primi vagiti della performance art con gli Happenings di Allan Kaprow, John Cage, Robert Rauschenberg e Merce Cunningham, passando per le feroci incursioni della Body Art e gli orgiastici riti di Hermann Nitsch ed i suoi colleghi dell’Azionismo Viennese, il fruitore è stato chiamato in prima persona a partecipare all’atto creativo, ricevendo in cambio violente emozioni tali da poter scuotere gli animi ed oltrepassare i tabù, il perbenismo e i dogmi religiosi oltre che l’anestetizzazione proposta dai mass media.

Quella dagli anni ’50 agli anni ‘90 è stata un’arte contemporanea caratterizzata da forti sperimentazioni, azioni estreme che hanno sovente messo a repentaglio la vita stessa di chi le aveva concepite. Ed anche nelle ardue prove esclusivamente concettuali gli artisti dell’epoca hanno comunque cercato di provocare una reazione, un interscambio di stimoli ed idee fuori dal banale. Oggi tutto sembra più rassicurante e placido, tutto è ben confezionato ed etichettato. Ci si sforza di provocare una reazione nel fruitore ma si calcolano attentamente rischi e ripercussioni. E pensare che Hermann Nitsch fu più volte messo in carcere per le sue azioni. Va detto che non stiamo giocando ai nostalgici, e non vogliamo sparare a zero sulla creatività odierna, si tratta solamente di un dato di fatto: si è persa una certa dose di spontaneità, di ingenuità e vigore, punto.

Sarà forse a causa di questi tempi dove tecnologie e tecniche promettono facile spettacolo e ottima visibilità. Sarà forse perché ci siamo spinti troppo oltre ed ora non c’è nient’altro da sperimentare. Ovviamente in cuor nostro sappiamo che non è così ma è sempre più raro imbattersi in una creazione artistica in grado di generare forti emozioni ed è ancor più raro trovare un artista che non attinga a piene mani da qualche altro ( ben più illustre ) collega del passato. Ed allora cosa si aspetta dal mondo dell'arte contemporanea? certamente molti di più di un bicchiere di vino ed una manciata di noccioline.
