i've started liu yao now and i'm so curious about priest's mind. how do they come up with so many different concepts? and why is their "cultivation world" different? is it a priest thing or a literature movement?

the storytelling was very good - i mean, priest is a great author, so that is expected. it was interesting to see her taking this slice of life approach, showing the ups and downs of the male lead.

however, i dropped at 35%.

unfortunately i haven't even seen the ml become an adult - though i can testify his teenage years have already been very turbulent.

the story itself is nice. i dropped because i couldn't get used to the (future) pairing, it -still - feels very odd. i keep thinking that someone else could come up to be the romantic partner. oh, well.

i am so tired of not having money. tirelessly looking for a job for 2 years and still got nothing. studying for a major, doing a freelance... still, nothing is enough. when do we get to just enjoy being alive? to be able to pay nice dinners for our parents, stop overthink about every coin in the bank account?
