SERENA VAN DER WOODSEN.

Serena was still getting used to her new home, she missed her home and her close friends. She wished that they were here with her so she could possibly get used to being here and have someone she knew. But, she was also good at meeting new people, a positive thing she did here was get a puppy, she picked one out of random so she wasn’t sure what breed the pup was but she was happy to have her own puppy here. She decided to bring him to a dog park and was playing with him, she laughed watching them, run for the ball. Serena jumped a little feeling something on her leg and looked down, she smiled and held her hand out towards the dog and seeing that the dog was okay with her touching it, she pet the dog and then heard the owner and smiled at him “he a little bit of a trouble maker?”

“Well, well, if it isn’t the Queen of New York herself.” A wide grin pulled at Max’s lips and even though the two of them didn’t really know each other -- mainly just their parents running in the same circles -- it was oddly nice to see somebody relatively normal here. If anyone in the rich elite of New York could be considered normal, especially Serena Van Der Woodsen herself. “Not all the time, though he tends to get a bit distracted in the dog park when there’s other people and creatures about. I don’t blame him though, I’m equally as nosy about all the people around here.”

"My dad tried to teach me, but I’m still real fuckin’ confused how Muggle money works.” Though after James had spoken, he realised that the person he was speaking to probably had no idea what he was talking about. It seemed that half the people here didn’t. Being thrown into some Muggle town all alone with a bunch of people he didn’t know -- or somehow even worse, people he knew of who were supposed to be dead -- was James’ own personal hell. Some of his family were here which was nice but all James wanted was for someone to figure out what this curse was so he could go back home because nothing here was quite right. Though it seemed like that wouldn’t happen for a while, so here he was, blowing off all the Muggle money he’d made at that diner on shit in this gift shop that he definitely didn’t need.

“Do you think I even need this thing?” he asked, blowing the flower he was currently holding and grinning as it spinned around. “Actually, don’t answer that. My cat would love it so I do need it. I’m tempted to get one of those cute lil toy duckies too because look how SWEET!”

Adopting a dog had ABSOLUTELY been the best idea Max had come up with since arriving in this town. As much as he loved and missed New York, it was far more ideal having a dog in a town like this -- plus his life here was so much quieter and consequently, so fucking boring. Nobody knew who he was and Max hated it because people in his own city knew him and his name MEANT something there. Meanwhile here, people didn’t give a fuck that he was MAX WOLFE.

The dog park seemed to be where Max spent half his time when he wasn’t at the club. Usually letting Aristotle off the lead was a fine but apparently today his border collie had other ideas and seemed to be more interested in whatever was across the park, behind tree. “I swear to fucking GOD that if you’re trying to eat a squirrel or some gross shit, I’m taking you back to the shelter, buddy.” He moved around the tree and realised somebody was there which his dog had taken interest in. “Shit, sorry. Didn’t mean to call you a gross squirrel.”
