Hello MidnightTech! Hope everything is good with you. I have just started playing Sims 4. Could you create a Mods Folder cleanup tool or a mod for Mac users? Many Sims users who play Sims 4 on Mac find it difficult to clean or organize their mods folder because there is no such utility for Macs. A cleanup tool from you guys can save so many people’s time. Thanks for all the great stuff that you make for the Sims community!

I have a brand new mod for you, a pack of 4 after-school activity rabbithole clubs for children and teen Sims. From a Phone or Computer, join one of the following clubs:

Dungeons & Dice

Craft & Create

Homework & Study

Budding Botanists

In the Dungeons & Dice club, your Sims can work their way up to Dungeon Master status while prepping character sheets, researching rules, and more.

Craft & Create club offers artistic Sims an outlet for their creativity, and although they might come home a little messy, they could bring home a creation from their session.

Homework & Study helps academic Sims stay on top of schoolwork with extra credit tasks, subject-focused studying, and the ability to complete homework on the computer.

Meanwhile, Budding Botanists teaches young gardeners how to sow seeds, care for plants, and tackle outdoor work. From Level 2 onward, club members unlock gardening interactions normally unavailable to children. Sims may even bring home seed packets or fertilizer after meetings.

Each club includes custom tasks, buffs, chance cards, interactions, levels, and more, plus custom uniforms for every club except Dungeons & Dice.

Career-Focused Aspiration 💼

Hey everyone, hope you're having a good weekend so far? I decided to completely rebuild this aspiration, and it now comes with a bunch of new features and improvements. It's also now fully Base Game Compatible, and only requires a couple of my mods rather than specific DLC. Check the requirements section below for more info.

This is a YA+ aspiration in the Knowledge category: Career-Focused. Rather than centering around one specific career, your Sim chooses their own path—this aspiration is designed for Sims who are ambitious, career-driven, and determined to climb the ladder.

I've also added a brand-new feature: Work Overtime. This interaction originally came with the Workaholic lifestyle from Snowy Escape, but I always found it buggy, and the actual "work off-hours" interaction was permanently ghosted out in my game. So... I made my own version instead. 😅

Using Phone → Work → Work Overtime, your Sim can take on an additional 6-hour shift outside their regular schedule, earning time-and-a-half pay for the extra hours worked. The Python tuning for this feature is included in my mod library, so make sure you're using the latest version.

There's also a brand-new reward trait: Career-Driven. Once earned, your Sims can work overtime whenever they qualify for it, along with a few additional career-related bonuses. You'll also unlock overtime during Milestone 4 of the aspiration.

Another new feature allows your Sims to chat with coworkers via Phone → Work or Computer → Career. If your Sim doesn't currently have any coworkers, you can now generate some yourself using a new cheat. Simply Shift+Click a computer and choose Career → Add Coworkers. This will pull in two existing unplayed Sims, place them in the same career, and assign the coworker relationship bit automatically. This feature works for any Sim currently in a career.

I've also reworked most of the aspiration objectives so they're fully Base Game Compatible and no longer require DLC, outside of the supporting mods linked below.

I hope you enjoy it! I've fully playtested everything and haven't run into any issues so far, but if you do spot anything, the best place to let me know is Discord. Even if it seems minor, I'd still love to hear about it! ~midnitetech 💚

It's finally here! Loosely based on my old Travel Writer career, this is a few good weeks of work in one mod! I've added 10 levels, but you can work from home whenever you like, with tons of assignments to choose from. If you choose to go into the office, you'll get a custom uniform and chance cards to keep things interesting.

You'll also have the chance of receiving special long-distance rabbithole assignments, so be sure to apply for your passport when you're eligible. There are literally hundreds of ways to customize your writing assignments, allowing you to choose your focus or a world to write about. There's so much to do, so you won't get bored easily!

You can also start a personal Travel Blog, (unlocked at Level 2), bringing new ways to earn admiration. You can earn royalties from your blog posts, depending on your following, and post your tips, tricks, packing lists, and more.

Royalty & Legacy Tuning Update

Here it is, the big 'un. I'm not going to lie, EA's switch to 32-bit instances for careers was a giant pain. However, I've gone through every career and updated them all, so you will no longer experience dropped careers.

You will need to rejoin any careers. If your Sim already had the career, a one-time LE may occur on the first load only.

As for SimU, since that uses career tuning, the same applies. However, rather than losing all your progress, I've added new cheats that enable you to skip registration, award a degree, or complete a current module. You can now also use UI Cheats to right-click and complete an objective without messing up the whole process. I have added a new option when you join, so your Sims in shorter lifespans can earn their degree before Grim shows up. The user guide is here.

I've also updated my 📁midnitetech_modlibrary, adding a confirmation when abandoning/canceling a gig (modules, quests, and odd jobs included) to prevent accidental deletion.

What else? I've separated some tuning between Noteworthy Notebook and Write Books Overhaul to prevent conflicts and added new computer publishing options to the latter.

You can download the fixes from the original posts, which I've updated already, or in bulk here. You'll need to manually delete the old files, as I've renamed most of them.
